The People's Committee of An Giang province has just reported on the implementation of Inspection Conclusion No. 1522 dated July 6, 2023 of the Government Inspectorate (GIG) related to "compliance with the law in inspection work, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement and anti-corruption; land management and use and capital construction investment; sand mining licensing in the province in the period 2015-2020".

Accordingly, as of January 24, this locality has completed 22 recommendations of the Government Inspectorate. Of which, the Provincial People's Committee issued 6 decisions to revoke river sand mining licenses; collect additional payment of more than 3.6 billion VND for sand mining rights of 3 enterprises and collect tax arrears of Cho Moi Sand Mining Cooperative.

In addition, 18 recommendations on rectifying and overcoming limitations and shortcomings in land management and use; sand mining licensing; basic construction investment and settlement of complaints and denunciations have been completed by the locality.

An Giang is currently implementing 13 recommendations related to land recovery and economic handling; rectifying and overcoming limitations and shortcomings and administrative handling. Notably, the Government Inspectorate recommended redetermining specific land prices to serve as the basis for collecting land use fees and land rents for 5 projects.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, 4 projects (Con Tien 1 residential area expansion, Hanh Phuc rice export processing factory, export footwear factory; export handbag factory) have Eximvas Appraisal and Valuation Joint Stock Company registered to participate and conduct land price surveys.

At the end of December 2024, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment sent an official dispatch requesting the above company to urgently send a draft land valuation certificate and a draft land pricing plan for the Department to appraise and prepare a dossier to submit to the provincial land valuation council.

Regarding the Sao Mai solar power plant project, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment urgently reviewed the conclusion of Inspection Team 1366 of the Central Inspection Committee to report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and comments on implementation.
