A series of international newspapers have reported on US President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam, calling it a historic event when the two countries established a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The upgrading of bilateral relations between the US and Vietnam to the level of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has received many positive reviews from the international media and public opinion.
"This position will be a driving force for prosperity and security in one of the most volatile regions in the world," Mr. Biden said after Vietnam and the US adopted a Joint Statement, elevating the Vietnam-US relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace, Cooperation and Sustainable Development.
According to Reuters, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that Mr. Biden's visit was "an important step to strengthen bilateral relations, reflecting Vietnam's leading role among US partners in the region."
The Washington Post commented that the US President's visit helped the two countries connect and become more open diplomatically. Officials in the Biden administration also emphasized the importance of the Vietnam-US partnership, affirming that the two countries will continue to strengthen this relationship.

According to CNN, President Biden's visit takes place in the context of significant changes in trade between Vietnam and the US. The upgraded partnership will further promote economic cooperation in the future.
"The United States and Vietnam have a very good relationship, and that relationship is improving in many areas. This is an important relationship in an important region of the world," CNN news agency quoted US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.
The Wall Street Journal said that Mr. Biden's visit helped Vietnam and the US further strengthen diplomatic relations. After the visit, Washington committed to a series of investments in the trade sector and increased state-level contacts.
Meanwhile, the British newspaper The Economist called Mr. Biden's visit "the most remarkable trip since President Bill Clinton came to Vietnam in 2000".
Al Jazeera news agency commented that the US and Vietnam's upgrading of their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership marked an "incredible change" in the relationship between the two countries, while also bringing an end to past events.
