Speaking with Giao thong Newspaper, the leader of Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee said that Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee has grasped the information reflected by Giao thong Newspaper about some individuals arbitrarily collecting land and illegally opening roads into the unauctioned stone quarry area in Thanh Thinh Commune, Cho Moi District, Bac Kan Province.
"As soon as I received the feedback from Giao Thong Newspaper, I called the leader of Cho Moi District People's Committee, requesting to check, verify and strictly handle according to regulations," said the leader of Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee.
Current status of illegal land collection and road opening leading to unauctioned quarries in Thanh Thinh commune, Cho Moi district, Bac Kan.
To acknowledge the inspection and handling in accordance with the direction of the leaders of the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee, in recent days, Giao Thong Newspaper reporters have repeatedly called and texted Mr. Hoang Nguyen Viet, Chairman of the Cho Moi District People's Committee, but have not received any response.
Previously, on July 10, Giao thong Newspaper published an article: "Bac Kan: The mine has not been auctioned yet but land has been illegally collected and roads built", reflecting that right after the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to put Na Quang 2 stone mine, Thanh Thinh commune, Cho Moi district, up to now, this stone mine has not been auctioned, but Mr. Tran Van Hung, from Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province, has returned to this locality to buy land, mobilize machinery to illegally open a road to the planned stone mine.
The incident has caused a stir in local public opinion, raising concerns about the transparency of the auction of mineral exploitation rights, which is expected to be officially auctioned by the authorities of Bac Kan province next September.
