Today, March 1, the Department of Justice of Quang Tri sent working groups to the grassroots to support localities in implementing the 20-day peak period to complete the digitization of civil status data in the province according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to Plan No. 37/KH-UBND dated February 20, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the completion of digitization of civil status data in the province will be carried out continuously for 20 days and nights from March 1 to 20, 2025. To achieve the goal, mobilize the active participation of all levels and sectors, determined to complete the construction of an electronic civil status database with 100% digitized data, contributing to the implementation of online civil status registration according to Decree No. 87/2020/ND-CP dated July 28, 2020 of the Government.
According to the Department of Justice, the number of civil status data digitized this time (phase II) is from 2005 and earlier. Statistics show that in this phase, there are 2,088 civil status books including birth, death, marriage, marital status confirmation, parent-child recognition, change of civil status basis, adoption, guardianship, divorce records with 203,584 cases needing to have their data digitized.
Of which, Dong Ha city has 357 books/53,268 cases; Vinh Linh 257 books/28,037 cases; Trieu Phong 514 books/45,738 cases; Huong Hoa 313 books/21,231 cases; Hai Lang 179 books/17,734 cases; Cam Lo 146 books/7,439 cases; Gio Linh 137 books/13,279 cases; Quang Tri town 125 books/10,158 cases; Dakrong 60 books/6,656 cases.

The digitization of civil status data is done by scanning civil status books and naming data files by book and year to create links with corresponding civil status data in the electronic civil status database to serve data storage as well as to compare, review and verify information when necessary. The direct implementing unit is the People's Committee at the commune level, in which the commune-level police force is mobilized to participate in the implementation.
In order for the digitization of civil status data to be implemented successfully and on schedule, the Department of Justice has sent many working groups to the grassroots to inspect and guide localities to properly implement the content, process, and progress, ensuring completion before March 20, 2025.
