The coordination between the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province has recently achieved many important results. In particular, the implementation has been increasingly good, improving the quality of social supervision and criticism.
On the afternoon of March 10, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province to organize a conference to review 3 years of implementing the coordination regulations for the period 2022-2024. Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province co-chaired the conference.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province, reported on the summary of 3 years of implementing the coordination regulations between the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for the period 2022-2024.
Specifically, over the past 3 years, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has chaired and coordinated with relevant departments and branches of the province to effectively mobilize support for funds: "For the Poor" fund, relief fund and temporary housing removal fund to support, assist and create conditions for poor households to overcome difficulties, rise up to escape poverty, and escape poverty sustainably. As a result, the "For the Poor" fund at all levels has raised more than 71 billion VND; supported the construction and repair of 1,459 houses for poor households, near-poor households, households with housing difficulties and supported production development; study; visit, medical treatment...; the Relief Fund at all levels has mobilized nearly 44 billion VND, supported the construction and repair of 630 houses, provided urgent and difficult support for hundreds of cases damaged by natural disasters. The fund for eliminating temporary houses at all levels is more than 65 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 1,390 houses for policy families, poor households, near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties.
Continue to propagate and mobilize people to actively respond and increasingly effectively implement the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas (NTM) and civilized urban areas"; in which, take the lead in organizing to collect opinions and evaluate people's satisfaction with the results of NTM construction in localities. By December 31, 2024, the whole province has 129/187 communes meeting NTM standards, reaching a rate of 68.98%, 24 communes meeting advanced NTM standards, and 2 communes meeting model NTM standards.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung added that focusing on coordinating the implementation of the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction in the province for the period 2023 - 2025 in conjunction with the emulation movement "Quang Nam joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" has mobilized capital, crops, and livestock to help 2,450 households escape poverty sustainably. At the same time, actively coordinating the implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" among union members, members and people; ... contributing to creating a positive change in people's awareness and mentality of prioritizing using Vietnamese goods.
During the period of 2022 - 2024, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired and organized 18 thematic supervisions, of which 13/18 thematic supervisions were related to the activities, management and operation of the Provincial People's Committee and specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee. Through supervision, the Provincial People's Committee and specialized agencies within their scope and authority actively coordinated, ensured conditions, provided information and documents necessary for supervision activities.
At the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Tri Thanh said that in the near future, monitoring activities will be implemented in two forms: thematic and regular monitoring of the implementation of conclusions after monitoring. Regarding social criticism, closer coordination is needed. When the Provincial People's Committee needs consultation, the Front will invite relevant agencies to give comments before implementation. At the same time, Mr. Le Tri Thanh suggested evaluating the quality after voter meetings and sending the content of voter meetings to the people in advance, as well as strengthening coordination in handling complaints.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung suggested that in the 2025-2026 period, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee need to focus on implementing many key tasks. Specifically, stepping up propaganda and mobilization to raise people's awareness of the Party's leadership role; coordinating to build a strong Party and political system; socio-economic development projects and policies with the participation of the Front, mass organizations and people's opinions; focusing on solving hot issues, especially land and site clearance and promoting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province...
