Mr. Duong Thanh Binh said that through meetings with voters of National Assembly deputies, 2,216 petitions were compiled and sent to competent authorities for resolution.

Voters' petitions relate to most areas of social life, including some areas that many voters are interested in, such as: Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Health; Transportation; Education and Training; Agriculture and Rural Areas. To date, 2,210 petitions have been resolved and answered by voters, reaching 99.7%.

The National Assembly and its agencies have fully responded to 62/62 recommendations. In response to voters' recommendations, the National Assembly has made many improvements and innovations in law-making. The laws, once promulgated, ensure feasibility and stable and long-term implementation.

“Supervision activities continue to demonstrate continuous innovation, focused supervision of pressing issues emerging in the country's socio-economic life, and the results have been widely recognized by voters and people,” Mr. Duong Thanh Binh emphasized.

According to the report of the Petition Committee, the Government, ministries and central agencies have focused on resolving voters' petitions, showing openness, positivity, proactively overcoming limitations, and proposing many measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of management and administration.

Researching, receiving and resolving voters' recommendations has contributed to removing many difficulties and obstacles, promoting socio-economic development, stabilizing social order and security, improving people's lives, and creating trust for voters and people nationwide.

The Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuracy have resolved and responded to 16/16 recommendations on building facilities and equipment to serve online trials; increasing the number of prosecutors; providing guidance on the implementation of the Penal Code...

Regarding some limitations, Mr. Duong Thanh Binh pointed out that for the Government, ministries and central branches, there are also preferential policies under the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction for the 2021-2025 period that have not been put into practice because the implementation guidance documents have not fully specified the beneficiaries.

In addition, the provisions in legal documents are not unified, so there are still problems and difficulties in implementation, affecting the legitimate rights of the people. The resolution of some issues that directly affect the lives and production of the people requires close direction and inspection by ministries and branches, along with the coordination and supervision of local National Assembly delegations. Notably, there is still a situation where the resolution of voters' petitions does not clearly demonstrate the state management responsibilities of some central ministries and branches.

Mr. Duong Thanh Binh suggested that the agencies of the National Assembly continue to further enhance the quality of supervision activities on the promulgation of legal documents. National Assembly delegations should improve the quality of synthesizing, classifying, and handling voters' petitions; ensure the progress and time to send summary reports after National Assembly deputies meet voters according to regulations.

The Government directs ministries and branches to resolve limitations; review and thoroughly handle recommendations that are in the process of being resolved, ensuring quality and following the roadmap reported to voters.
