730 fishing boats inspected for technical safety

According to the report of the Department of Sea and Fisheries, up to now, 730 fishing vessels in Thai Binh province have been inspected for technical safety and granted certificates of eligibility to operate.

Fishing vessel inspection is an activity to manage techniques, ensure safety from design, construction to operation, helping fishermen feel secure in going out to sea and fishing.

In recent times, the Department of Sea and Fisheries has coordinated with relevant agencies to promote propaganda and mobilize fishermen to strictly comply with regulations on registration, inspection, provision of technical safety certificates for fishing vessels and installation of communication equipment as prescribed. At the same time, fishermen are instructed to carry out responsible fishing, not to violate illegal fishing, unreported fishing or illegal fishing.
