For Newton students in particular and excellent students of Hanoi in general, the above 5 names are no longer strange because previously, all 5 students had achieved many outstanding achievements in domestic and international competitions and exams.
At the 18th Hung Vuong Summer Camp held in early August with the participation of nearly 1,200 students from 24 high schools (including 19 specialized schools), Newton School excellently won 18 medals with 5 Gold medals, 10 Silver medals, and 3 Bronze medals. The mark of an 'international - specialized' private school
The fact that for the first time, students participated in the competition and 5 students were selected to the national team for excellent students in math and physics continued to mark a memorable milestone; at the same time, it created a good impression on the entire education sector of the capital when a private school had many excellent students, comparable to specialized high schools in Hanoi.
For Newton School, joy follows joy as the school continuously has students representing millions of students in the capital competing in international intellectual playgrounds directly organized by the Department of Education and Training to select and form teams, such as the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) and the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO).
In early October 2024, Newton School was proud to have 9 students participating in the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO), all 9 of whom won medals, including 4 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, 1 Bronze Medal, with 1 student achieving “Best In Theory” in science (best in theory exam), Dao Trong Cuong, class 7I0. This is the second year Newton School has led the way compared to other schools in Vietnam in this exam.
At the 2024 International Junior Mathematics Olympiad held in India (InIMC), Hanoi had 15 students winning medals with 3 Gold Medals, of which 2 Gold Medals belonged to Newton students: Nguyen Dang Khanh - Key Stage 3 level and Nguyen Phong Chau - Key Stage 2 level. With a score of 140/150, Nguyen Phong Chau, class 7G0 became the student with the highest score at the entire Key Stage 2 level, surpassing the US and Chinese teams.
At the end of September 2024, surpassing more than 200 excellent students from all over Hanoi, 2 Newton School students, Vu Nhat Long and Vuong Ha Chi (class 10G0) excellently won the first prize with the highest and second highest scores, officially becoming 2 of 6 representatives of Vietnam to attend the IJSO 2024 competition held in the Republic of Romania in December 2024.
Most recently, at the district-level excellent student competition for grade 9 cultural subjects, with 9/9 subjects, the total number of awards that Newton students achieved was 50, continuing to rank first in the district. Most of these students will participate in the city-level excellent student competition and will certainly continue to make their mark for the school.
The outstanding results of the school's students, the representative of Newton school's leadership was excited to consider them as precious gifts, the efforts of the students and teachers; at the same time, thanked the leaders of the Department of Education and Training for many innovations in the way of selecting the team; creating opportunities for the most excellent students in the subjects of the exams at high schools in the city to participate in the competition. In the future, the school will continue to maintain and focus on training excellent students so that the school's achievements will continue to shine.
