YouTube has just launched its latest Premium Lite subscription package, which allows users to watch videos without ads but is limited to one feature compared to the full version.
The YouTube Premium Lite package allows users to watch "most" videos in many fields such as games, fashion, beauty, cooking, news, ... without ads for $ 7.99 / month. However, content such as music or music videos will still appear ads.

As a basic package, YouTube Premium Lite still has some limited features compared to the full YouTube Premium package ($13.99/month), such as downloading, background playback, or the ability to watch music videos without ads.
Currently, Premium Lite is only available in the US market, but YouTube says it will expand this subscription plan to more markets in the coming months.
The move will help YouTube generate more revenue from subscriptions, which could help boost creators' businesses. The new Lite plan will be a great option for younger users who have replaced TV time with online video viewing on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

The company said that the total number of YouTube Music and YouTube Premium subscribers worldwide has now reached more than 125 million, including trial versions.
