On March 9, during the State visit of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and his wife to Indonesia, the Vietnam - Indonesia Tourism Promotion Program, jointly organized by Vietnam Airlines and Saigon Tourist, took place in Jakarta.
The program aims to promote tourist exchanges between the two countries, enhance tourism cooperation and develop new tourism products. The program also aims to strengthen diplomatic relations and facilitate business cooperation between travel and tourism companies of the two countries.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Mr. Ha Van Sieu, emphasized that tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia is opening up many new opportunities, thanks to the similarities in culture, natural landscapes and the desire to develop sustainable tourism of both countries. Both Vietnam and Indonesia possess attractive tourist destinations, from beautiful beaches, rich cultural heritage to famous landmarks.
Strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries not only helps promote the country's image, but also creates conditions for tourism businesses to develop, while promoting cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
In addition, the program also introduced many attractive destinations and tourism cooperation potential between the two countries, as well as introduced Saigon Tourist products and Vietnam Airlines flight network.

Mr. Anton Sumarli, Vice President of the Indonesian National Tourism Association (ASTINDO), said that Vietnam is currently a rapidly developing tourist destination, especially with increasing appeal to Indonesian tourists. This is demonstrated by the sales results of Vietnam Airlines at the recent ASTINDO Tourism Fair.
ASTINDO is committed to always being ready to cooperate with agencies such as the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to create opportunities to promote the latest tourist destinations to Indonesian travel agents, as well as to the people of this country, thereby contributing to promoting the tourism industry of the two countries.
