Although it is just a rumor, recent leaked information about the foldable iPhone from industry experts is gradually revealing many interesting things about this special Apple product.
Recently, analyst Ming-chi Kuo has provided information about Apple's foldable iPhone. Accordingly, the product will be launched around the end of 2026 or early 2027 with a price of more than 2,000 USD.

According to Mr. Kuo, the foldable iPhone will have a book-shaped design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 model, with a 7.8-inch inner screen without folds and a 5.5-inch outer screen.
Apple's foldable iPhone will be 9 to 9.5mm thick when folded and about 4.5 to 4.8mm thick when unfolded. The device will have a titanium aluminum case with a hinge made of stainless steel and titanium aluminum. The back will have a dual camera cluster, while the front will have only one camera.
Notably, Mr. Kuo believes that due to design space constraints, Apple will have to abandon Face ID and instead use Touch ID, integrated into the side power button. The product will also be positioned as a “true AI phone”, while the larger screen will bring better AI multitasking capabilities.
With a price tag of more than $2,000 and possibly as high as $2,500, Kuo predicts the foldable iPhone will appeal to Apple’s loyal customer base, who will view it as a “must-have” if the quality lives up to expectations.
According to the analyst, Apple aims to finalize the foldable iPhone specifications in the second quarter of 2025 and officially launch the project in the third quarter. Mass production is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, so the device will be released late next year or early 2027.
Launching the foldable iPhone later than its competitors could help Apple perfect the product in the best way possible. However, the high price could be a big barrier for many users.
