Yamaha XMAX 300 2025 "gas guzzler" 3.26 liters/100km coming to Vietnam soon?

According to some sources, the new Yamaha XMAX 300 2025 large scooter model will arrive at stores in Vietnam in the near future and be ready for Vietnamese customers. The vehicle is aimed at those who are passionate about long-distance travel and are looking for a more powerful and comfortable vehicle.

The Yamaha XMAX 300 2025 scooter model is in the 300cc scooter segment, competing with the Honda SH350i and Vespa GTS Super Tech 300 in Vietnam. However, compared to competitors in the same segment, the XMAX 300 2025 possesses more modern and advanced technology.

In terms of size, the vehicle has a length x width x height of 2,185 x 795 x 1,410 mm, a wheelbase of 1,540 mm and a wet weight of 181 kg, the Yamaha XMAX 300 has a rather massive appearance. The saddle height of 795 mm is also a point to note, when requiring the driver to have an average or larger stature to control the vehicle comfortably.

Yamaha equips the XMAX 300 2025 with a series of modern amenities. This model has a full LED lighting system, front and rear ABS brakes, traction control system, Smartkey and ergonomic double-decker saddle.

Notably, the vehicle also has the ability to connect to the phone via Yamaha's own application, allowing the display of message notifications, calls, battery status on the vehicle screen. Users can also track travel logs, fuel consumption, distance traveled, parking location and even the vehicle's tilt when operating.

The XMAX 300's instrument panel consists of two digital displays. The upper display shows speed, fuel level and total distance, while the larger lower display shows rpm, time, temperature and other operating parameters.

Yamaha XMAX 300 2025 has a 292cc engine, providing maximum capacity of 20.6 kW at 7,250 rpm and maximum torque of 29 Nm at 5,750 rpm.

To make it easier to visualize, this power level is about 1.5 times stronger than the Yamaha Exciter 155 VVA. However, unlike the Exciter 155 which uses a 6-speed manual transmission, the XMAX 300 is equipped with a CVT transmission.

Despite its large engine, the Yamaha XMAX 300 has an average fuel consumption of about 3.26 liters/100 km - slightly lower than its competitors in the segment. The trunk capacity has not been announced in detail, but Yamaha claims that the trunk can hold two full-face helmets.

According to sales consultants, the price of the Yamaha XMAX 300 2025 when it goes on sale in Vietnam will not change much compared to the current version, estimated at around 139 million VND.

Launched in early 2025, the Yamaha XMAX 300 2025 includes three versions: XMAX 300, XMAX 300 Tech MAX and XMAX 300 Tech MAX+, fully meeting the needs and preferences of all riders. All versions meet EURO 5+ emission standards and are equipped with Yamaha Blue Core engines.
