On March 21, in Hanoi, Plan International Vietnam in collaboration with REACH Institute organized a workshop to summarize the project “Towards the future of digital transformation in Vietnam”. The project was financially supported by Lenovo Group through the TransforME Funding Round program.
The project "Towards the future of digital transformation in Vietnam" is implemented from April 2024 to March 2025, focusing on short-term training courses on 2D graphic design, 3D graphic design and Digital Marketing, and is also a place for students to learn soft skills and support them in connecting jobs and training.
After one year of implementation, the project has supported 207 young people (42% of whom are female) to participate in 3-6 month vocational training courses in the digital field, of which 85% of the students have jobs after graduation. In addition, 213 young people from other REACH Institute courses have been trained in life skills and gender equality, helping them confidently enter the labor market.
Sharing about the project, Mr. Nguyen Van Giap - General Director of Lenovo Vietnam said: Through the project "Guiding the future of digital transformation" in Vietnam, Lenovo hopes to contribute to creating a more comprehensive learning environment, supporting disadvantaged youth, especially women, helping to eliminate the gender gap in the technology field. Thereby, it can help young people be more proactive in building businesses in the current digital economy.
Lenovo Vietnam General Director pledged to continue expanding the program, cooperating with many other partners to enhance development opportunities for the young generation of Vietnam, helping them reach out and create positive changes in the future.

Emphasizing the significance of the project, Ms. Le Quynh Lan - Country Director of Plan International Vietnam said: The project's success is not only due to the determination of REACH Institute but also due to the efforts of young people, especially young women. In addition to supporting young people with learning opportunities and soft skills, the project also helps change social awareness about women's capabilities in the field of digital technology.
The project “Towards the future of digital transformation in Vietnam” has opened up job opportunities in the digital economy for more than 200 young people, of which 85% have jobs after training. This result affirms that digital transformation is not only about technology but also about the power to promote capacity for Vietnam's major projects. These more than 200 young people are also part of the sustainable development process of REACH, which has trained and supported more than 22,000 young people across Vietnam, giving them the opportunity to study, work and build their future.
Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tam, Director of REACH Institute
As one of the students who participated in the 2D course of the project, Lo Duyen Huyen confided: The course not only gave me the opportunity to study, work and explore interesting things in the field of technology. From that knowledge, I have a job and a stable income to take care of myself and support my family.
It can be affirmed that, not only providing career opportunities for young people, the project "Towards the future of digital transformation in Vietnam" is also proud to contribute to gender equality in the technology field. At the same time, it is a testament to the effective results of youth support programs towards a solid foundation and future development.
