Mr. Nguyen Huy (29 years old) - a truck driver, residing in Quang Nam province, said that every rainy season when passing through Phu Yen, he is fed up with the road surface peeling off, the potholes are bumpy and painful for his vehicle, and having to avoid potholes and other road users while driving is extremely dangerous.

Sharing the same obsession, Mr. Ho Nguyen Dac Thanh Cong (30 years old) - a long-distance bus assistant, residing in Tuy Phuoc district (Binh Dinh province) said that the road is patched up, and potholes appear every few days after it rains... "I really hope that the authorities will have a plan to repair the road so that it is both durable and ensures safety for drivers and other road users" - Mr. Cong said.

According to the reporter's records, on National Highway 1 through Chi Thanh town, Tuy An district; through Xuan Dai ward, Xuan Thanh ward, Xuan Canh ward in Song Cau town (Phu Yen province), most of the road surface has lost its adhesion, peeled off, revealing gravel, crushed stone, crushed stone, the road surface has degraded, creating potholes, many sections on the route have formed ripples, making the road dangerous.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Director of Road Management Area III said that the unit has currently repaired the parts of the road damaged after the recent rain.

According to Mr. Binh, almost every day the units are on the route to ensure traffic in adverse weather conditions, the units are also divided into many teams to re-pour asphalt concrete, however, due to the rain, the implementation had to be temporarily suspended. In that situation, the unit also used temporary materials to minimize damage to ensure traffic on the road. When the weather conditions are favorable, the unit will arrange human resources to perform well to ensure the route and traffic safety during the upcoming New Year holiday.

On December 15, Highway QLDB III issued Document No. 2997 on repairing road surface damage arising on national highways in Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces due to the impact of rain since December 7.

The National Highway QLDB III requires Deo Ca Investment Joint Stock Company and Phu Yen Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company to urgently fix the existing problems on the route, focusing on patching and repairing the road surface in sections with potholes, mud, etc. to ensure traffic safety.

At the same time, in adverse weather conditions where it is not possible to completely repair, units are required to select suitable materials (cement reinforced crushed stone; emulsion or cement mixed scraping materials; boulders, three-stone, 4x6 wedges...) for temporary repair to ensure traffic, and arrange a full traffic safety system for warning.

When the weather is favorable, the units must immediately patch and repair with asphalt concrete; rollers and rammers must be arranged to compact the road according to regulations. In case the maintenance management units do not organize the implementation or are slow to fix the problem, causing traffic safety problems on the route or traffic accidents due to subjective reasons, the maintenance management units will be fully responsible before the Highway Management Area III and before the law.

For BOT investors on the route, units are required to urgently overcome existing problems on the route, focusing on patching and repairing the road surface of sections with potholes, mud, etc. to ensure traffic safety on National Highway 1.
