Repair damage and restore safe road surface to National Highway 1

In recent days, the road management unit has mobilized workers and machinery to repair damaged areas on National Highway 1 passing through Quang Tri province, returning the road surface to safety for vehicles.

On the afternoon of December 30, Mr. Cao Thanh Binh - Head of the Quang Tri Regional Road Management Department (Truong Thinh Group) said that 14 damaged spots with an area of ​​nearly 27 square meters on National Highway 1, passing through Dong Ha City and Trieu Phong District, managed by the unit, have been temporarily patched to ensure traffic safety. "The weather is favorable, so on December 31, we will bring in machinery to completely handle the damaged spots," said Mr. Binh.

Similarly, at the damaged section of National Highway 1 passing through Quang Tri town, in recent days, taking advantage of the clear weather, the road management unit has also mobilized workers, machinery and equipment to carry out repairs to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles.

Mr. Ngo Van Doan - Head of Road Management Office II.5 (Road Management Area II) said that from December 27 to 29, workers had treated and patched 300 m2 of damaged road surface through Quang Tri town. According to records, the "potholes" and "elephant holes" have been thoroughly treated with asphalt concrete, leveling the road surface.

Previously, Quang Tri newspaper published on December 27 reported that the National Highway 1 section from Dong Ha city center to Quang Tri town had dozens of severely damaged spots, causing traffic safety problems. In particular, a section of about 100 m long passing through Quang Tri town was partially damaged, not only posing a potential risk of traffic accidents but also affecting the lives of people living along the national highway.
