The program to bring poor people living on the river to shore to stabilize their lives in Thanh Hoa province received financial support to build houses with the companionship of Long Son Cement.
With the determination to "leave no one behind", under the strong direction of the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, all levels, sectors and localities are making efforts to accompany and support poor households, policy families in general, and people living on the river in particular to come ashore to soon stabilize their lives and develop a sustainable economy.
Joining hands with all levels and sectors, with affection and responsibility, Long Son Cement has donated 18 billion VND to support the construction of houses for poor people living on the river, with a support level of 50 million VND/house. From policy to action, the above funds are being transferred by the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province in a timely and complete manner according to regulations, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties and soon return to shore to stabilize their lives.
Being able to get ashore and escape the life on the river is a turning point, a joy for all the river people here. The lives of the households living on the river are given land to build houses, no longer having to "worry day and night" during the storm season. From now on, children will be able to go to school, work in factories, and have a new, more beautiful life.
Along with supporting the construction of houses for poor people living on the river, sharing with those in particularly difficult housing situations in many localities, in recent years, Long Son Cement has always paid attention and coordinated with all levels, sectors and local authorities to support the construction of nearly 500 charity houses, "red scarf" houses, and solidarity houses in many provinces and cities across the country such as: Soc Trang, Ninh Binh, Long An, An Giang... contributing to adding motivation to help households in difficult circumstances have solid houses, gradually stabilize their lives and escape poverty.
Not only joining hands to create a place to live for families in difficult circumstances, aiming at the future young generation of Vietnam, to support and create conditions for students in difficult circumstances to go to school with peace of mind, constantly strive to excel in their studies, Long Son Cement has coordinated with the Association for Promotion of Education of Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces to award scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.
Each year, the number of scholarships has increased, the scope has expanded, and the scholarship amount has also been raised from 4.5 million VND/student/school year to 6.3 million VND/student/school year. The scholarships awarded have contributed to encouraging, sharing difficulties, and supporting students on their path of learning and pursuing their dreams.
Sharing about this program, Mr. Le Tien Dung, Deputy Director of Long Son Cement said: “The scholarships sent to students with especially difficult circumstances demonstrate the concern of Long Son Cement as well as distributors to support them to reduce difficulties in life so that their path to school will be more open. We hope that the scholarship recipients will constantly strive to compete in studying, training to overcome difficulties to become good children and good students, useful citizens for society in the future”.
In recent times, the unfavorable and unpredictable developments in the world have continued to greatly affect the operations of businesses. In an effort to overcome difficulties, not only maintaining stable production and business, Long Son Cement has continued to accompany and participate in many other meaningful social security and community activities such as: Sponsoring the Thanh Hoa Newspaper Cup Children's Football Tournament, sponsoring the Thanh Hoa women's volleyball team, giving gifts to the poor and policy families, participating in the godmother program with the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union, supporting cement for the construction of rural roads and new rural infrastructure projects, etc.
