Focusing on developing agriculture towards commodity production, from 2020 to present, the whole province has built and formed 85 new concentrated commodity production areas, linked according to the value chain associated with technology application with an area of 4.5 thousand hectares, bringing the total number of concentrated agricultural production areas in the province to 445 areas, with an area of 19.6 thousand hectares.
The demonstration model of high-quality pure rice variety QR15 of Vietnam High-tech Agricultural Materials and Seeds Joint Stock Company is being deployed and replicated in many localities.
Of these, there are 157 high-quality rice growing areas (9.6 thousand hectares); 70 tea growing areas (5.8 thousand hectares); 161 grapefruit growing areas (2.65 thousand hectares); 33 banana growing areas (1.1 thousand hectares); 24 vegetable growing areas (433 hectares). Along with the construction and formation of rice, vegetable and fruit growing areas, the province organizes the development of concentrated aquaculture production, increasing the rate of raising aquatic species with high economic value. To date, the whole province has formed 54 concentrated aquaculture areas with an area of 1.35 thousand hectares.
Thanks to the focus on developing key and advantageous crops (grapefruit, tea, rice, persimmons, yellow bananas...) associated with brand building and geographical indications; focusing on development according to VietGAP standards (2.4 thousand hectares), organic (29 hectares); granting 621 growing area codes, area of 10.9 thousand hectares... product quality and value have been gradually improved, the average/ha of cultivated land for cultivation and aquaculture is estimated at 128 million VND, an increase of 18.4 million VND compared to 2020.
