Thanh Hoa tourism industry in recent years has clearly shown the trend of linking, innovating and improving product quality. Promoting links with regions and localities across the country has helped Thanh Hoa tourism have more new tours and routes, which are welcomed by tourists.

2024 is considered a breakthrough year in tourism product development in Thanh Hoa province. Many new tourism products and services have been formed, put into operation, and served tourists, such as: Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien resort, entertainment complex (Hoang Hoa); Sea square and festival landscape axis, SunWorld Water Park, Memorial area for compatriots, cadres, soldiers, and students from the South regrouping to the North (Sam Son City); Phan Chu Trinh walking street and Lam Son Square cultural space (Thanh Hoa City); trekking tours in mountainous districts... New tourism products and services have initially attracted the attention of a large number of tourists, creating a positive effect, spreading the brand and image of "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four Seasons of Fragrance".

Along with promoting internal resources, Thanh Hoa province has paid special attention to promoting links with regions and localities nationwide to promote the exchange of visitors, while creating new tourism products of a connecting nature. Notably, the tours connecting with provinces and cities in the North, North Central, Southeast, Central, Central Highlands and Northwest. Up to now, a number of connecting itineraries between Thanh Hoa and localities in the country have been "positioned" such as: "Journey through ancient Vietnamese capitals", "One journey - Many experiences", "1 flight, 2 world heritages", "Ho Chi Minh trail caravan tour"... In order to keep up with the development trend, localities with key tourist areas and spots in Thanh Hoa province have also gradually perfected their products, combined with the organization of cultural, sports and tourism events to bring quality connecting itineraries. The focus is on taking traditional culture as the key to developing tourism products.

As a neighboring locality and an important "link" in a number of connecting itineraries, the Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh tourism route in recent years has proven its attraction to a large number of domestic and international tourists. Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Tourism Association, Hoang Binh Minh, commented: "In the process of exploiting linked products, travel businesses have gradually taken advantage of the outstanding advantages of each locality. Thanh Hoa has a convenient transportation system, Tho Xuan Airport and famous coastal tourist areas, while Ninh Binh tourism is an "Influential Destination" that is currently attracting the attention of high-spending tourists. The tourism connection has contributed to renewing the existing products of each side and bringing tourists new experiences". Mr. Hoang Binh Minh also expressed his hope that the local authorities of all sides will continue to pay attention to and support businesses in the product development process. The tourism associations of both sides further promote their role as a bridge for businesses between the two localities to connect with each other in the process of building products, while maintaining the exchange of information and market trends to innovate and improve the quality of linked products.

In the process of building joint products, along with the guiding role of State management agencies, the participation of tourism associations and member associations and branches to connect destinations and tourism services into new, quality products plays an important role. In recent years, the Provincial Tourism Association and the Thanh Hoa City Tourism Association have also actively organized famtrip programs, connecting tourism service businesses between localities. Along with that, guiding travel businesses, accommodation establishments, and tourist destinations to innovate products and improve service quality based on the advantages of each unit. Applying digital transformation, promoting e-marketing, communicating on digital platforms and social networks to create a widespread effect and promote the common tourism image... Through joint activities, it has contributed to limiting product duplication and promoting the advantages of each destination. This is considered an opportunity for localities to more clearly recognize their outstanding cultural values, advantages and improve their tourism products to attract tourists.

Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association Le Xuan Thao affirmed: The association, cooperation and promotion of Thanh Hoa tourism with localities have been promoting the development of characteristic and attractive local linkage product chains; bringing rich and diverse tourism experiences, suitable to the needs and tastes of domestic and international tourists. However, to develop truly quality linkage products, the role of tourism businesses in localities in the linkage journey is very important. In particular, businesses need to focus on finding highlights and building messages in each product to attract tourists and develop sustainable linkage products. This is an important basis contributing to promoting tourism development in the new situation in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister, which is "Unique products - Professional services - Convenient procedures - Competitive prices - Clean and beautiful environment - Safe, civilized and friendly destinations".
