In recent days, a parent whose child studies at Ngu Binh Primary School (An Cuu Ward) posted a complaint about the students' boarding meals on the Hue-S application (Center for Monitoring and Operating Smart Urban Areas of Thua Thien Hue Province).
"My child attends boarding school at Ngu Binh school (Nguyen Khoa Chiem street), I still pay the full monthly fee on time, a daily meal for my child is 25 thousand. But when I went up and saw his food like this and added 1 bowl of soup, 1 very small carton of milk, not enough nutrition and very little food. I respectfully request the authorities to step in and inspect", the parent's reflection content.
A meal was reported by parents to Hue-S.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Truong Dinh Hanh, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, said that he had just directed the city's Department of Education and Training to verify and report.
"Organizing meals for boarding students is an agreement between parents and the school. However, all schools that organize meals for boarding students must be public and post prices and menus," said Mr. Hanh.
The Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee shared that the view that meals for students must ensure nutrition, and put food safety and hygiene first. The city has also just established an interdisciplinary team to inspect food safety and hygiene at schools in the area.
"Regarding the parents' feedback, when the report results are available, the Hue City People's Committee will direct the handling if there are any problems. In addition, it will continue to direct relevant units to strengthen inspection, supervision, and reminders to schools that organize boarding meals," said Mr. Hanh.
