The strawberry garden of Ms. Lo Thi Thanh's family in Phang 2 village has an area of up to 1000 square meters, with nearly 5000 strawberry plants. From rice fields, thanks to the pilot strawberry planting project of Dien Bien city in the locality, realizing that strawberry plants bring better economic efficiency than rice cultivation, Ms. Lo Thi Thanh and her husband decided to switch crops to strawberries.
Ms. Thanh shared: "Planting and caring for strawberries is more difficult and laborious, but in addition to having better economic efficiency, I also really enjoy gardening." In addition, growing strawberries also contributes to attracting tourists, contributing to building a local agricultural tourism model. Currently, although the strawberry garden has just started to produce unripe fruits, it has attracted tourists to visit the garden.
