Dien Bien Provincial Police received the transfer of 5 tasks

Kinhtedothi - On February 28, Dien Bien Provincial Police simultaneously received the transfer of 5 State management tasks from departments and branches to officially start implementation from 0:00 on March 1, 2025.

Specifically, Dien Bien Provincial Police received the transfer of 5 tasks, including: State management of drug addiction treatment, post-drug addiction treatment management; State management of testing and granting of driving licenses; State management of criminal records and providing public services of granting criminal records; State management of network information security and the task of ensuring aviation security.

Previously, on February 27, Dien Bien Provincial Police announced the decision to end the operation of 10 district-level police units. Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh, Director of Dien Bien Provincial Police, said: from March 1, 2025, Dien Bien Provincial Police will arrange its apparatus according to the new model of "comprehensive province; strong communes, close to the grassroots"; end the operation of 10 district-level police units and receive and assign responsibilities to 5 department-level units under the Provincial Police to perform new tasks transferred from departments and branches to the Provincial Police.

At the ceremony, the provincial police leaders also handed over decisions on retirement leave for 6 department-level leaders; handed over decisions on transferring and appointing 9 people to the position of department head of the provincial police; and transferred 43 people to the position of deputy department head of the provincial police.
