This is an important step towards the goal of bringing VinUni into the top 100 universities in the world, contributing to promoting Vietnam as a pioneer in the field of science and technology.

The memorandum of understanding handover ceremony took place under the witness of General Secretary To Lam and senior officials from both sides.
According to the agreement, VinUni and NTU will cooperate comprehensively in the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics and Smart Mobility, AI Applications in Materials Science and Engineering and Health Sciences.
The cooperation is carried out through 6 action programs: Exchange and secondment of lecturers; Establishment of joint research centers and groups; Attracting post-doctoral scholars; Attracting doctoral students; Coordinating the organization of scientific and technological conferences; Developing infrastructure of research labs in key areas.
Prof. Ho Teck Hua - President of NTU shared: “NTU is honored to further strengthen the close cooperation between Singapore and Vietnam - an important ASEAN partner, through the establishment of a strategic alliance with VinUni to develop high-quality human resources, bringing benefits to both countries. Working together, we will promote academic and research excellence at both universities and develop Singapore and Vietnam into science and technology hubs.”
Dr. Le Mai Lan - Vice President of Vingroup, President of VinUni University emphasized: “Establishing a strategic, comprehensive and long-term alliance with NTU is an important milestone in VinUni's internal development strategy and vision: to become one of the top 100 universities in the world. The close geographical location and similar culture will be the foundation for us to work together in research and innovation, contributing to making science and technology an important driving force in the new era, the era of Vietnam's rise.”
Immediately after signing, leaders of both sides promoted working sessions with NTU's group of scientists at technology - industry labs, research centers and 3D printing labs, nano-material labs... as well as the Institutes of Electricity, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Institute, Materials Science Institute and the Entrepreneurship Training Program.
With a practical approach, decisive action and high speed of implementation, VinUni and NTU believe that the strategic alliance will create breakthrough results from research to talent training, while contributing to bringing Vietnamese science and technology further on the world map.
Established in 2019, VinUni is a private, non-profit university in Vietnam founded by Vingroup, with the mission of training the next generation of talents. In September 2024, VinUni became the youngest university in the world to achieve a comprehensive 5-star QS certification from QS - Quacquarelli Symonds (UK), one of the most prestigious education ranking organizations in the world. Since its inception, VinUni has cooperated with the world's leading universities such as Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania to continuously improve the quality of teaching and research. NTU - Singapore is a research-intensive university, ranked in the top 15 universities in the world.
