On the morning of March 24, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long had a working session with Ms. Ann K. Ganzer, Acting Permanent Assistant Secretary of State (PDAS), Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation (ISN), US Department of State.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long affirmed that the Vietnam-US relationship is developing comprehensively in many areas. In particular, cooperation in areas managed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade such as energy and trade has many positive changes. The two sides are continuing to build a solid foundation to promote an increasingly good relationship in the coming time.

For her part, Ms. Ann K. Ganzer highly appreciated the progress in bilateral relations, especially since 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This is an opportunity for both sides to continue to bring economic and trade cooperation to new heights.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade emphasized that Vietnam highly values and wishes to promote cooperation with the United States in the field of nuclear energy development, within the framework of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as well as with countries with developed nuclear industries, including the United States.

“ Vietnam is very interested in cooperation on technology, human resource training and financial mobilization for future nuclear energy development ,” Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long expressed.
