Rice price today March 26: Rice export price increased sharply

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,400 - 6,500 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,500 - 5,700 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) increased by 300 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,500 - 5,800 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is quite good, buying and selling transactions are steady. In Bac Lieu, fragrant rice farmers offer to sell more, traders ask to buy a lot. In An Giang, in some areas, the supply of rice has decreased, buying and selling transactions are slow, rice prices are stable.

In Kien Giang, Japonia rice prices have increased, demand is quite good, prices of other types of rice are stable. In Dong Thap, fragrant rice farmers offer stable prices, buying and selling transactions are regular, prices are relatively stable.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 7,700 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 8,600 - 8,750 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 6,600 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3-4 ranges from 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; bran price ranges from 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, in terms of quantity, prices of all types of rice fluctuated little. In An Giang, quantity is quite good, warehouses buy fragrant rice regularly, prices increased; transactions of common white rice are slow. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), quantity is small, warehouses buy regularly, prices are stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), small quantity, stable price of all kinds of rice. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), there is a little quantity, good rice with reasonable price, warehouses ask to buy fragrant rice.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice fluctuates at VND21,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is priced at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is priced at VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today increased sharply compared to the beginning of the week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 400 USD/ton (up 2 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 325 USD/ton (up 12 USD/ton).
