ABU Robocon 2024 will take place from August 23 to 27 at the Quang Ninh Sports Complex (Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City). 13 excellent teams will compete together, creating a vibrant and professional atmosphere. Vietnam has 2 representative teams from Hung Yen University of Technical Education.
This year, Vietnam is the host country of the "Asia-Pacific Robocon" innovation competition.
With the theme “Harvest Day”, the competition promises to bring dramatic and creative matches, while honoring the value of traditional agriculture, especially rice cultivation on terraced fields, a characteristic of Vietnamese culture. Participating robots will have to perform tasks simulating the rice growing process, from sowing to harvesting.
According to Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV) , representative of the organizing committee, this is an opportunity for Vietnam to introduce the country's image to international friends, while affirming Vietnam's position in the field of technology as well as professionalism in organizing and promoting international events. Up to this point, VTV has carefully carried out the work related to organizing and preparing for the competition.
The entire ABU Robocon 2024 competition at Quang Ninh Provincial Sports Complex on August 25 will be broadcast live on VTV2 and livestreamed on the social networking platform Facebook VTV2 Quality of Life .
The ABU Robocon 2024 event is not only a competition, but also an opportunity for young people to exchange, learn and share experiences.
According to the TV content production team, the program has completed the script and fully prepared a team of reporters and editors to produce a live TV program lasting 6 hours continuously. The team has also calculated the reportage materials about 13 teams from 12 countries and territories participating in the competition, the content will be interspersed between matches.
VTV 's young and dynamic MC team such as Tran Ngoc, Khanh Vy, Phi Linh, Hong Phuc will be the bridge between the audience and the team.
Notably, this year's competition was applied by VTV with Augmented Reality (AR) technology, which combines virtual elements into the real environment on the field, creating a new and interactive experience for television audiences.
ABU Robocon 2024 is not only a technology competition event, but also a testament to the development of science and technology and the creativity of the young generation, of technology-loving students in the Asia-Pacific region.
