According to the assessment of the Provincial People's Committee, in February 2025, the province's socio-economic situation continued to achieve many positive results. Agricultural production continued to be well organized and implemented. Industrial production, trade, services, and exports continued to grow; state budget revenue increased compared to the same period. Total state budget revenue in the month is estimated at VND 472,750 billion, accumulated in two months is estimated at VND 1,843.4 billion, reaching 26.84% of the yearly estimate, up 3.87% over the same period in 2024. The index of industrial production (IIP) in February 2025 is estimated to increase by 0.27% over January 2025 and increase by 39.24% over the same period in 2024. In the first two months of 2025, IIP increased by 16.71% over the same period in 2024. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the month is estimated at VND 6,617.7 billion, up 7.98% over January 2025 and up 15.51% over the same period in 2024. Regularly monitor and grasp the market situation, supply and demand of goods, especially essential goods to promptly have solutions to regulate production, promote circulation, and promote growth.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that it is necessary to continue to promote digital transformation, build e-government, and e-transactions; urgently advise on the promulgation and effective implementation of the Action Plan No. 69-CTr/TU dated February 18, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation of Vinh Long province; speed up the progress of digitizing civil status data in the province within the prescribed time as directed by the Prime Minister.
