On the afternoon of May 31, U17 Vietnam had the third friendly match within the framework of the training trip in Hamamatsu, Japan. The "blue team" this time was Tokoha University, a team highly rated for its quality.
In order to continue evaluating and testing the lineup and playing style, the U17 Vietnam coaching staff agreed with the opposing team to organize the match into 3 halves, each half lasting 40 minutes.
In the first half, coach Hoang Anh Tuan put on the field players who had performed very well during the recent training period.
With this lineup, U17 Vietnam dominated the opponent team and scored 3 goals, in which Cong Phuong opened the score and Vi Dinh Thuong scored a double.
In the second and third halves, coach Hoang Anh Tuan replaced the positions on the field to create opportunities for all players to play.
Despite the change in lineup, U17 Vietnam still showed good ball control, organized defense and launched attacks quite coherently. The match ended with a score of 3-3.
According to plan, U17 Vietnam will have another friendly match with Shizuoka University on June 2.
After this match, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team will return home on June 5, with about a week to complete the final preparations in Vung Tau before moving to Thailand to participate in the 2023 AFC U17 Championship.
