Right before round 12 of V.League, Da Nang FC announced that they will continue to replace their head coach. Mr. Le Duc Tuan will take over from his colleague Cristiano Roland. Under the Brazilian coach, Da Nang lost 3 matches in V.League and National Cup.
Leaving the comfort zone of youth football and moving to the professional field, coach Cristiano Roland suffered a heavy defeat. It is also difficult for him to return to U17 Vietnam. After this former player went to Da Nang, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) urgently searched for a head coach for U17 Vietnam. Finally, a Japanese coach was chosen to lead the team at the U17 Asian tournament.
Coach Roland failed at V.League.
Coach Cristiano Roland was previously the successor of Tran Minh Chien - who did not get the desired results in the U16 Southeast Asian tournament. Basically, Roland brought a new breath of life and helped U17 Vietnam pass the continental tournament qualifiers.
Coach Cristiano Roland wrote on his personal page: " I would like to announce that I am no longer the head coach of SHB.Da Nang Club, the decision came very quickly. In a short time, I had to make a lot of changes to improve the system and then the quality of the players. Those who have worked at the club realize how important improvement is, and they will certainly continue to develop and help the club get out of difficult situations.
Unfortunately, change takes time to adapt and this requires sensitivity, awareness of the direction and enough time for the change to work. I know I did well and I have never disrespected anyone, nor cheated or lied. So for my part, I leave and I have done the best for the club, for the players. Thanks to my assistants who have been excellent."
