Honoring 78 collectives and individuals 'Good people, good deeds - joining hands to build a compassionate community'

At the beginning of the term, the congress set out 6 groups of targets with 22 targets, and up to now, 18/22 targets have been achieved and exceeded the annual progress. The movements and campaigns of the Provincial Red Cross Society have achieved many positive results, contributing to the good implementation of the province's social security policy and the successful implementation of the economic, cultural, social development goals, ensuring national defense and security of the locality.

During the 2022-2027 term, the Red Cross at all levels in the province mobilized resources of 241.8 billion VND, supporting 462,160 beneficiaries in society. Implementing the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address", 2,047 "humanitarian addresses" were maintained for regular assistance, 155 "humanitarian addresses" were updated on the Thien Nguyen app, 84 "humanitarian addresses" were updated on the electronic humanitarian information system. The total value of "Humanitarian Month" increased by an average of 10%/year, during the half term, a total value of over 31 billion VND was mobilized, supporting over 56,000 poor people and people in difficult circumstances.

The association levels also mobilized and donated 109   Red Cross houses, worth over 13 billion VND for poor households in the whole province. Through the "Kitchen of Love" movement, over 249,210 meals, porridge, and hot water were delivered directly to poor patients, those in difficult circumstances, those without caregivers, and other vulnerable groups, with a total value of over 4.8 billion VND. The "Charitable Tet" movement has attracted more and more participation from agencies, units, organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and people inside and outside the province; as a result, all levels of the association have mobilized over 102 billion VND to help 198,178 poor people, victims of Agent Orange, and other social protection groups. The rate of population participating in voluntary blood donation each year in the whole province is currently 1.87% of the population.

To date, the Red Cross at all levels has 3,685 active volunteers; 198 volunteer team leaders have been trained in Red Cross work, first aid skills, disaster prevention and response and related fields; 435 schools have effectively organized humanitarian activities for Red Cross youth.

Speaking at the conference, Member of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Vu Thanh Luu praised the outstanding results of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Red Cross Society in the fifth half of its term. At the same time, he requested that all levels of the provincial Red Cross Society continue to proactively advise Party committees and authorities to remove difficulties and shortcomings in the organization and operation of the society; advise local Party committees and authorities to concretize Conclusion 44-KL/TW of the Secretariat on continuing to implement Directive 43-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the work of the Red Cross Society in the new situation; effectively implement the program of coordination in organizing humanitarian, charitable and social security activities for the period 2023-2027 with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...
