Collecting waste, planting trees, cleaning the environment, increasing the use of recycled products... A series of joint actions to protect the environment and combat climate change have been actively responded to by the youth of the Homeland "For a green Vietnam".
Youth of Ha Hoa town, Ha Hoa district responded to the tree planting festival "Youth of the Ancestral Land forever remembers Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025.
Promoting movements, being flexible and creative in implementing models, and regularly organizing activities are the highlights that the youth of Cam Khe district have effectively implemented, affirming their pioneering role in environmental protection. Last year, the whole district collected and treated 3.5 tons of waste; cleaned 12km of inter-village and inter-regional roads; planted 20,000 new trees, and built a "Clean hand washing area for students" project in Phong Thinh commune... These practical and meaningful activities have attracted a large number of people and contributed to raising awareness and responsibility for environmental protection among youth union members and children.
Together with the youth of Cam Khe district, the youth of the whole province have promoted their pioneering and volunteering role in preserving and protecting the environment, responding to climate change through actively implementing movements and achieving remarkable results. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has strengthened propaganda, education, and implementation of environmental protection work to all levels of the Youth Union through many programs, action plans, and criteria for monthly and quarterly emulation evaluation.
At the same time, direct the Youth Union to register to undertake youth projects and tasks such as: "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" self-managed youth routes; "Youth tree gardens" and "Youth flower beds" projects in schools, agencies and units; mobilize to remove and erase illegal advertisements and classified ads... Mobilize, guide and support people to limit plastic waste in daily life; classify waste at source, gradually stop using disposable plastic products; deploy models to exchange waste for trees; make utensils from recycled plastic bottles and jars.
According to statistics from the Provincial Youth Union, in 2024, the whole province will plant 250,980 new trees of all kinds; organize 4 simultaneous campaigns to respond to "Green Sunday" with thousands of cadres and youth union members participating, collecting and processing hundreds of tons of waste; maintain the effective operation of over 220 "Youth volunteer teams for natural disaster prevention"... Each project and task not only affirms the role of youth union members in environmental protection, responding to climate change, contributing to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, but also contributes to spreading a positive lifestyle to the community, thereby forming an environmentally friendly lifestyle, close to nature.
In particular, in the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the first days of Spring At Ty 2025, the Provincial Youth Union launched the Tree Planting Festival "The youth of the Ancestral Land forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 at the provincial level in Yen Son commune, Thanh Son district. Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province carried out many meaningful activities; participating in planting, caring for and protecting trees. This is an annual activity of the youth of the Ancestral Land every Spring, contributing to reducing climate change and protecting the ecological environment.
Comrade Dinh Thi Tuyet Mai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said: Joining hands to protect the environment and respond to climate change is one of the important tasks of the province's youth. This is a long-term, continuous "battle" and will be continued to be promoted by the Youth Union bases in the coming time. From there, it will contribute to building a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment, new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.
