Reporting on the talks between the President of Vietnam and President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), President of the Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen on the afternoon of July 12, SBM.News news site quoted President To Lam as affirming that Vietnam has always consistently implemented a policy of friendship and trust with Cambodia on the basis of comprehensive cooperation, good neighborliness and history of fighting common enemies; at the same time, emphasizing the importance of existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms between the two countries at all levels, especially promoting people-to-people exchange activities.

According to SBM.News, the Vietnamese head of state highly appreciated Cambodia's rapid development under the leadership of the CPP, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and the current Royal Government led by Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, expressing his belief that Cambodia will achieve its goal of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050.
For his part, CPP President and President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his agreement with the Vietnamese President's statement on the relationship between the two countries, saying that under the far-sighted leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam will achieve its goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030.
He believes that Vietnam will join the Group of 20 (G20), become a developed country and thereby bring positive impacts and effects to neighboring countries such as Cambodia and Laos.
Reporting on the July 13 meeting at the Peace Palace between President To Lam and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, Kampuchea Thmey newspaper emphasized the commitment between the two countries to strengthen and expand cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples and nations.
According to Kampuchea Thmey, at the talks, President To Lam congratulated Cambodia on its remarkable achievements under the reign of the King, the leadership of Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet; and expressed his hope that Cambodia will continue to develop to achieve its vision of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050.
President To Lam affirmed that Vietnam and Cambodia will continue to strengthen their cooperative relationship even more strongly under the motto of good neighborliness, on the basis of cultural similarities, and committed to strengthening and expanding Vietnam-Cambodia cooperation for the benefit of the people and the two countries.

At the talks, the Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia and the President of Vietnam discussed a number of key issues such as increasing the exchange of visits and exchanges at all levels in diplomatic and political cooperation; making efforts to further promote economic cooperation within the framework of the government and the private sector in the fields of trade, investment and energy cooperation, through strengthening economic and trade partnerships, in order to maximize potential to promote bilateral trade scale; continuing to cooperate closely in the fields of defense and security cooperation to contribute to maintaining peace, stability and development of provinces bordering Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as cooperating in sharing information to prevent cross-border crimes such as human trafficking, drug trafficking and online fraud...

Meanwhile, reporting on the meeting between President To Lam and President of the Cambodian National Assembly Khuon Sodary on July 13, the national news agency AKP quoted the head of the Cambodian National Assembly as affirming that the good relationship between the two countries' National Assemblies has been established and maintained throughout many generations of leaders of this legislative body.

Regarding the relationship between the two countries, Ms. Khuon Sudary affirmed that she will never forget Vietnam's support for the cause of liberating the Cambodian people from the Pol Pot genocidal regime, helping to revive the people, as well as supporting the country's economic development, helping Cambodia develop as it is today.
