Admission methods include: Admission using high school academic results when meeting the school's quality assurance conditions. In this method, Foreign Trade University will consider groups of candidates who are students participating in/winning prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition or the National Science and Technology Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in the field suitable for the school's admission subject group (including Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese);

The target group of candidates are students majoring in Math, Math - IT, IT, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese at national key high schools/specialized high schools.
Another group of subjects considered are non-specialized students who won prizes (first, second, third) in provincial/city-level excellent student competitions in grade 11 or grade 12 (including subjects such as Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese).
Method 2, admission using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam includes: a group of candidates using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; a group of candidates using a combination of the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam and an international foreign language certificate.
Method 3, admission using domestic and international competency assessment certificates: group of candidates with domestic competency assessment certificates organized by 2 National Universities;
Candidates with international competency certificates: admission based on international competency certificates SAT/ACT/A-level combined with international foreign language certificates.
Method 4, direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The school's admission time is implemented according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Foreign Trade University said that it will keep the admission subject combinations stable as in 2024. In case the 2025 University Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training are adjusted, the school will adjust the admission subject combinations in accordance with the regulations.
The quality assurance thresholds (floor scores) of the admission groups can be adjusted to suit the regulations and actual conditions. The detailed content of the regulations on admission methods will be specified in the 2025 Admissions Project, which will be announced after the 2025 University Admissions Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training are issued.
In case the 2025 University Admissions Regulations have any adjustments that affect the school's admission methods, Foreign Trade University will make timely adjustments to comply with the Regulations and ensure the rights of candidates.
