DTO - In recent times, promoting the spirit of volunteerism, union members and young people in the province have actively participated in many practical and meaningful projects and tasks. Thereby, contributing to the locality in effectively implementing socio-economic development tasks, taking care of social security, building new rural areas and spreading the beautiful image of the youth of the Land of Pink Lotus in the community.

Youth is an important part of the nation, the backbone of the country. Throughout the history of the country, the youth has always upheld the tradition of patriotism, heroic spirit, and indomitability of the nation, enthusiastically pioneered in all fields, and made many great contributions to the cause of building and defending the country. Today, in the process of innovation, promoting industrialization, modernization and international integration, together with the youth of the whole country, the youth of the Red Lotus Land has been and is continuing to promote the precious traditions of previous generations, quickly adapting to new conditions, having the will to rise up to establish themselves, establish a career, be proactive, creative, ready to be present in every difficult and arduous place and ready to accept new tasks.

According to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, following the tradition of previous generations, in recent years, the youth of Dong Thap province have constantly strived to successfully complete their assigned tasks. The work of the Youth Union and the youth movement have always had positive changes in content and form in each appropriate stage, closely following the Party's Resolution, the key tasks of the province, concretized by practical action programs, many projects, tasks, and activities have clearly demonstrated the role and prestige of the Youth Union organization in all sectors, levels and society. Notable examples include: Youth Month, "Summer Youth Volunteers" Campaign; "Youth join hands to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" movement; "Voluntary blood donation" movement...

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee leads and directs the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province to promote the organization and implementation of many activities to support union members and young people in starting businesses, establishing businesses, and developing the economy; coordinate the organization of free medical examinations and medicine distribution for people in difficult circumstances; manage and educate young people who violate the law and have signs of violating the law; provide career counseling and job introduction, and mobilize young people to work abroad for a limited period under contracts. Pay attention to the work of training and introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission; promote the implementation of care and education for teenagers and children... Thereby, it has aroused and promoted the spirit of initiative and volunteerism of union members and young people in the province, contributing to attracting young people to participate in responding to the implementation of political tasks of localities and units.

Notably, in 2024, with the theme "Year of Youth Volunteers", the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have spread the spirit, enthusiasm, and determination of the youth to strive to carry out many practical projects and activities, creating strong impressions and outstanding highlights, highly appreciated by Party committees, authorities, and public opinion. The Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province actively participated in building, repairing, and renovating 104.6km of rural roads; inaugurating and constructing 40 rural bridges; implementing the "Lighting up the Countryside Roads" project with a length of 97.9km; successfully organizing Youth Month, the "Summer Youth Volunteers" Campaign with a total cost of about 86.4 billion VND. At the same time, mobilized to award tens of thousands of scholarships and gifts to children in difficult circumstances, with an estimated total value of over 4.2 billion VND.

The Youth Union at all levels coordinated to provide career counseling and job referrals to more than 31,300 young people, coordinated vocational training for more than 22,300 young people; mobilized 1,612 young people to work abroad under contracts; supported 368 young people in economic development and entrepreneurship, and helped 94 young people escape poverty...

In 2025, with the theme "Dong Thap Youth, Proud to Believe in the Party", the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee directed the Youth Union chapters at all levels to deploy many projects, tasks, and exciting activities, opening up many opportunities for union members and young people to practice, contribute and mature. Youth Month 2025 took place with 14 targets in the following areas: propaganda, youth education; activities to promote creative youth movements; participation in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; environmental protection, digital transformation; care for children associated with the province's key tasks...

At the Youth Month Launching Ceremony 2025, many organizations and units accompanied the youth of Dong Thap province, contributing resources to support more than 6.6 billion VND to carry out projects and tasks. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee launched 14 "Youth Volunteers to Eliminate Temporary Housing" Teams and the "Project to Preserve and Develop Red-crowned Cranes" Propaganda Team; coordinated the organization of Provincial Peak Days such as: "Youth Volunteers to Participate in Digital Transformation", "Youth Volunteers to Build Urban Civilization", "Volunteers Join Hands to Build New Rural Areas"...

Through activities contributing to affirming the pioneering role of the young generation, continuing to arouse the desire to contribute, the life of union members and youth in the new era. At the same time, promoting the spirit of shock and pioneering of the youth, contributing to effectively implementing the working theme in 2025 "Dong Thap youth are proud and firmly believe in the Party", determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels for the term 2022 - 2027, contributing to building the youth generation of Dong Thap province associated with building the culture and people of Dong Thap "Loving - Dynamic - Creative", contributing young people to the cause of building the homeland of the Land of Pink Lotus to become more and more rich, beautiful and civilized.
