As planned, the 2023 Standing Militia Squadron Sports Festival will take place from August 21 to 31, with the following competitions: Flag salute and team review, martial arts demonstration, ship training (operating the layout tables to practice ship maneuvering, anchoring, leaving - docking, rescuing people who have fallen into the water;...).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sports Festival, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, emphasized: This Sports Festival aims to improve the level of command management, training, combat readiness, mastering weapons, equipment, support tools, and skillful use of fishing gear, meeting the requirements of assigned tasks, thereby drawing experience and directing the organization of training for the Standing Militia Squadron in the following years.

In order for the Sports Festival to achieve its goals and requirements, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, equipment, and technical means, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh requested the Organizing Committee to operate the Sports Festival according to the program and plan; the Jury to work impartially, objectively, and accurately; the forces participating in the Sports Festival to uphold the spirit of solidarity, exchange, learning, proactively overcome difficulties, compete honestly, wholeheartedly, and determined to achieve excellent results to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

After the opening ceremony, the exciting competition atmosphere of the 3,000m armed race, martial arts performance, flag salute and team review... of the ships and athletes of the standing militia squadrons officially took place, attracting the attention and encouragement of thousands of officers and soldiers from agencies and military units stationed in the area.
