Tạp chí Doanh NghiệpTạp chí Doanh Nghiệp18/02/2025

DNVN - The 18th International Exhibition on Electrical Technology & Equipment and Energy-saving Products, Green Energy (Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo 2025) will continue to be an effective bridge in trade promotion, investment attraction, and science and technology exchange.

Green economic growth is a new trend in the process of economic restructuring in the face of climate change and depletion of natural resources, aiming at sustainable development. Research and use of new renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, geothermal power or bioenergy are essential for countries to develop a low-carbon economy or green economy.

Vietnam has been making efforts to realize the goal of reducing net emissions to zero by 2050, contributing to sustainable development and enhancing the competitive position of the Vietnamese economy.

At the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), with the "Global Cooling Commitment", Vietnam is accelerating the implementation of policies and incentives to reduce energy consumption and limit greenhouse gas emissions. It is expected that in 2025, the total electricity production and import will reach 347.5 billion kWh, an increase of about 12.2% compared to 2024, of which the total power capacity (excluding rooftop solar power) will increase by 6.2%.

The revised draft of the 8th Power Plan has proposed two scenarios for the 2026-2030 period. These are a 10.3% increase in electricity demand according to the baseline scenario and a 12.5% increase according to the high scenario, which is close to economic development scenarios. At the same time, to meet the demand for increasing electricity capacity for the entire system, Vietnam needs to mobilize from 30.7 to 40 billion USD in investment capital by 2030, mainly from the private sector and non-state enterprises.

Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo actively contribute to the implementation of Vietnam's climate change goals.

Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo, through 17 times of organization, has been actively contributing to the process of implementing Vietnam's climate change goals. Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo 2025, taking place from July 16-18, 2025 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center - SECC, will continue to be an effective bridge to help domestic and foreign enterprises promote trade and attract investment. At the same time, exchanging science and technology, expanding production and business, contributing to ensuring national energy security.

In 2025, the exhibition will continue to expand its cooperation with the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association (KOEMA), with the theme: "Vietnam ELECS Electricity and Energy Exhibition". The scale of the exhibition is expected to reach 15,000m2 with nearly 750 booths of more than 500 enterprises from Vietnam and countries with developed electricity industries; attracting about 20,000 visitors to visit and work directly.

The event will be an opportunity and a favorable environment for businesses operating in the field of electricity and energy in Vietnam and internationally to introduce advanced products, technologies, and the latest scientific achievements. At the same time, they will exchange experiences and expand cooperation.
