The Management Board of Binh Dinh Economic Zone (EZ) has just issued a decision approving the investment policy and approving the investor for the Graphene Production and Application Project of Vietnam Graphene Global Joint Stock Company.

Construction investment project at lot B1-10, Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Area A, with factory area of ​​2,700m2, total investment capital of 127 billion VND, capacity of 1,800kg graphene/year.

According to the Management Board of Binh Dinh Economic Zone, the graphene production and application project proposed by Graphene Global Company has the objective of operating in accordance with the industry planning at Lot B1-10, with a large investment capital, meeting the conditions for land allocation and land lease.

The investor commits to implementing the project with the following schedule: from February to August 2025, completing the project's legal documents; September 2025 - February 2026: installing machinery and equipment; March 2026: completing and officially putting the project into operation.

Graphene is known to be the strongest material known because it is harder than diamond but more elastic than rubber; harder than steel but lighter than paper.

Thanks to the unique structure of graphene made up of carbon atoms, it possesses amazing characteristics: high electron mobility, 100 times faster than silicon; conducts heat 2 times better than diamond; conducts electricity 13 times better than copper...

Graphene products have outstanding properties: high strength, good electrical and thermal conductivity, super light, high durability... so they are applied in many fields of science, practice and medicine.

These include: energy storage and solar batteries, sensor applications, ink production, radiation shielding, water filtration, stem cell therapy, drug delivery, disease diagnosis, etc.

Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Area A is a concentrated, multi-industry industrial park with an area of ​​630 hectares, located in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, on Phuong Mai peninsula (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province). It is divided into 2 functional areas: an industrial park with an area of ​​394 hectares and an urban area with an area of ​​236 hectares.

In 2024, Binh Dinh province's industrial parks will attract 21 industrial projects with a total investment capital of VND4,309 billion. Of which, Saigon - Nhon Hoi Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, the investor of Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Area A, has attracted 8 new investment projects with a total investment capital of VND1,452 billion.

The enterprise was awarded a certificate of merit by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province for its outstanding achievements in implementing investment targets and developing industrial parks and clusters in the province in 2024. Contributing to increasing budget revenue and shifting the local economic structure towards industrialization.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thao - Deputy General Director of Saigon - Nhon Hoi Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, with the achieved results, the company will continue to strive to promote and at the same time implement many innovative, flexible and diverse plans to attract investment in the Industrial Park.

In particular, increasing the occupancy rate of industrial parks, focusing on attracting high-tech, environmentally friendly projects with high added value, strengthening connections with domestic enterprises, meeting the needs of expanding scale and cooperating with foreign partners.

The Deputy General Director of Saigon - Nhon Hoi Industrial Park Joint Stock Company also said that it is necessary to upgrade Quy Nhon Port and Phu Cat Airport to reduce logistics costs, improve competitiveness, and create more favorable conditions for investors.

“With the support of authorities at all levels and the business community, the company will complete the investment targets for industrial park development assigned by the province in 2025, contributing to promoting sustainable economic development of Binh Dinh province,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thao expected.

It is known that up to now, in Binh Dinh province, there are 6 industrial parks and 46 industrial clusters that have come into operation. The goal by 2025 is that the province strives to attract at least 45 secondary projects, focusing on filling up industrial parks such as Nhon Hoa, Nhon Hoi A and Hoa Hoi (phase 1).
