Da Nang tourism industry is stepping up promotion and advertising to prepare to welcome visitors from the Middle East and CIS markets.
According to information from the discussion, 5-star airline Emirates has planned to operate the Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang route with a frequency of 4 flights/week using Boeing 777 aircraft, expected from June 2. The main source of customers is from the UAE, the Middle East and connecting flights from Europe and the US.At the same time, Crystal Bay plans to operate charter flights from Astana & Almaty (Kazakhstan) connecting CIS countries with Da Nang with a frequency of 1-2 flights/week using Airbus A330 aircraft, expected from April 2 to the end of October 2025, the main source of guests from CIS countries.
Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh said that the Department is urgently preparing tourism service establishments and workers in the industry with full information and practical experience in exploiting, welcoming and serving the tourist market of the Middle East and CIS countries.
Da Nang Department of Tourism is implementing information sharing to serve the tourist market, designing and publishing handbooks to share market information, providing service instructions and proposing the implementation of new tourism products to serve Halal tourists, improving the quality of human resources, promoting and developing the international tourist market through the flights operated by Emirates and Crystal Bay.
Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh emphasized that the Middle East and CIS tourist market is one of the potential markets for the Vietnamese tourism industry. However, in order to exploit and develop this market effectively, businesses need to have specific strategic directions, while improving service quality, in accordance with the needs and specific characteristics of Middle East and CIS tourists.
“In particular, businesses need to focus on improving tourism infrastructure, especially in terms of Islamic tourism, Halal standards, tastes, tourist culture, etc. to enhance service capacity. At the same time, increase connections, communication cooperation, and promotion between localities and international partners to meet the needs of tourists from the Middle East and CIS regions,” said Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh.
