Quang Nam opens exhibition, displays economic achievements

The exhibition takes place from March 21 to 25, 2025 at the Quang Nam Provincial Cultural Center (No. 08 Tran Hung Dao, Tan Thanh Ward, Tam Ky City).

Scale of exhibition organization: there are a total of 72 booths, including 28 booths displaying and exhibiting achievements in socio-economics, national defense and security and 44 booths displaying typical products and OCOP products.

The content of the exhibition is highly general, highlighting important and typical achievements and results of some key economic sectors and typical socio-cultural fields of Quang Nam province after 50 years of liberation and 95 years of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee.

Thereby showing a comprehensive picture from the past to the present of the construction and development process of Quang Nam province as well as expressing the cultural values, spirit, and pride of the land and people of Quang.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh emphasized that the exhibition is an event of special significance, an opportunity for us to look back on the glorious history of the province, and at the same time affirm the great achievements that the Party Committee, Government and People of Quang Nam have achieved in the construction and development process.

At the same time, it is also an opportunity to introduce to domestic and international friends the potentials, strengths, typical products of the homeland, socio-economic achievements, unique and rich cultural values ​​that Quang Nam province has built and achieved over the past 50 years.

According to Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh, 95 years ago, on March 28, 1930, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee was established and 50 years ago, on March 24, 1975, Quang Nam province was liberated, marking a brilliant milestone in the history of the nation's struggle for independence and freedom.

After the war, Quang Nam was a province lacking in all aspects, the people's lives were extremely difficult; but with the aspiration to rise up, the spirit of solidarity, with courage and creativity, the army and people of Quang Nam gradually overcame the consequences of war, boosted production, constantly made efforts to develop the economy, improve people's lives, build an innovative economy, develop sustainably along with promoting traditional cultural values.

After 50 years of construction and development, Quang Nam has been growing strongly, affirming its position as an industrial, tourism and service province. From a locality dependent on central subsidies, after 20 years of re-establishment, by 2017, Quang Nam had risen, self-sufficient in balancing the budget and contributing to the central budget.

The economy has grown rapidly over the years. The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by an average of nearly 8.7% per year in the period 1997 - 2025; the economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, with the proportion of industry - construction and services accounting for 68.3%...

Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and a wide network of industrial parks and clusters, with airports and deep-water seaports, provide great opportunities for Quang Nam to develop rapidly and sustainably. In particular, in recent years, the development of OCOP products has made an important contribution to increasing the value of agricultural products, handicrafts, and tourism in the province...

"This exhibition is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition of the army and people of Quang Nam; and an opportunity to introduce the great achievements in economy, culture - society, national defense, security... that the Party Committee, Government and People of Quang Nam have achieved after 50 years.

This is also an opportunity to launch an emulation movement to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term with the determination to build Quang Nam province to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern" - Comrade Phan Thai Binh said.
