To depict the image of the national heroine Trieu Thi Trinh - Ba Trieu riding an elephant into battle with an indomitable will, Sculptor People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien - Multimedia Trading Co., Ltd. created a sketch based on the concept: "The elephant is the pedestal of the statue, so depicting the elephant in a stylized, simple sketch, strong and sturdy enough, is the pedestal for Ba Trieu's standing position. Do not depict the elephant and Ba Trieu in real proportion because then the person will be too small compared to the elephant".

The sculptor designed the character of Lady Trieu standing on the elephant with one leg in front of the other, one hand on her hip, one hand brandishing a majestic sword, combined with the fluttering of her dress to enhance the majestic spirit of the hero. Thereby expressing the majestic posture and heroic spirit of Lady Trieu.

The pedestal (elephant) is designed to be strong, simple and just enough to evoke the surrounding decorations. The color of the elephant (pedestal) is darker than that of the character Ba Trieu. The elephant's trunk is curved up, gaining momentum to reach forward, the 4 legs are spread out strongly, clearly showing the posture of rushing forward, creating a more dynamic feeling, in harmony with the posture of Ba Trieu's sword-wielding hand.

The sketch of Ba Trieu by author Trieu Minh Lam (Thematic Department, People's Police Television) won second prize.

Inspired by the four verses: "The cloak rides on an elephant/Holding the hilt of the sword, the yellow silk flutters/In the hand waving the flag straight/The divine elephant rushes to defeat the enemy", author Trieu Minh Lam has built the image of the national heroine Trieu Thi Trinh in a divine battle with the front and back legs forming a solid stance, the left hand waving the flag, the right hand holding the hilt of the sword swinging up to the sky creating a divine posture. Combined with the silk strip fluttering behind, blending into the wind of the uprising flag in the windy posture of the one-tusked white elephant charging into battle. Along with the motifs of the image, thereby expressing the indomitable fighting spirit of the national heroine Trieu Thi Trinh.

The sketch by the group of authors Nguyen Hoang Linh and Tran Xuan Ty (Ve Yen 1 Street, Quang Thang Ward, Thanh Hoa City) won second prize.

Based on historical documents about Ba Trieu and the Ba Trieu uprising, the group of authors created a sketch of "Ba Trieu bronze statue" to express the image of the national heroine Trieu Thi Trinh, a talented and beautiful woman, an indomitable hero, a shining example for all time.

The bronze statue of Ba Trieu consists of two parts: the pedestal supporting the statue and the body of the statue. The pedestal is made of Thanh Hoa green stone and the body of the statue is made of bronze.

The overall statue tends to stretch forward and soar high, neat and sturdy, expressing the heroic, indomitable and steadfast will of Lady Trieu, representing the will of the Vietnamese people against the oppressive power of foreign invaders. The square pedestal, shaped like water waves, expresses the meaning of Lady Trieu's indomitable saying "I just want to ride the strong wind, step on the fierce waves...".

The body of the monument consists of two large blocks connected together: the image of a war elephant and the image of Lady Trieu. The image of a war elephant (one-tusked elephant) blends with the image of clouds, expressing the meaning of overcoming the clouds of Ngan Nua to fight the enemy.

The image of Lady Trieu standing upright on the elephant's back, her posture reaching forward, her head raised high, her right hand holding the sword raised high, her left hand slightly brought back to support the forward posture, expressing the meaning of heroism, indomitability, steadfastness, not retreating before the enemy. Lady Trieu does not wear armor, only a heart-protecting armor like a flower on her chest, her robe flies behind her, blending with the armchair on the elephant's back, further highlighting her forward posture.
