Awarding ceremony for cultural activities within the framework of the 2025 Ban Flower Festival and the 8th Dien Bien Province Culture - Sports

On the afternoon of March 15, 2025, at the Dien Bien Phu Cultural Exchange and Tourism Information Center, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Hoa Ban Festival and the 8th Dien Bien Province Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival held an award ceremony for cultural activities within the framework of the 2025 Hoa Ban Festival and the 8th Dien Bien Province Culture - Sports - Tourism Festival.

Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Chuyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Representatives of leaders of departments and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and artisans and actors from the delegations participating in the Festival.

In the content of Folk Song, Dance and Music Festival; Introducing excerpts of Festivals, traditional cultural rituals of ethnic groups in Dien Bien province, the artists and actors participating in the competition mainly introduced the land and people of the Northwest in general, Dien Bien in particular; praising the Party and Uncle Ho; expressing love for the homeland, country, and love between couples imbued with national cultural identity.

The Organizing Committee awarded 09 A prizes; 09 B prizes; 09 C prizes for the performances participating in the Folk Song, Dance and Music Festival of Ethnic Groups; The Organizing Committee awarded 03 A prizes for the performance content, introduction of excerpts of the Festival, and traditional cultural rituals of ethnic groups, including: "Cap sac ceremony - Dao ethnic group" by the National Cultural Festival of Nam Po district; "Nao Pe Chau ceremony", Mong ethnic group by the National Cultural Festival of Muong Cha district; "Moon rice celebration", Si La ethnic group by the National Cultural Festival of Muong Nhe district; 03 B prizes: "Rain praying festival", Kho Mu ethnic group - National Cultural Festival of Muong Ang district; "Full moon eating ritual in January", Thai ethnic group - National Cultural Festival of Muong Lay town; "May praying ceremony", Dao ethnic group - National Cultural Festival of Tua Chua district and 02 C prizes "Pang Phong ceremony", Khang ethnic group - National Cultural Festival of Tuan Giao district; "New Rice Celebration", Xinh Mun ethnic group - Dien Bien Dong Youth Union.

Along with that, in the content of the contest to introduce culture and tourism of districts, towns and cities. With the participation of 10 districts, towns and cities in the province, the Organizing Committee awarded 12 prizes including: 02 Thematic prizes (Best explanation prize awarded to Ms. Lo Thi Thu, Dien Bien Dong district; Most impressive display space prize awarded to Tua Chua district); Tua Chua district excellently won the First prize; 03 Second prizes went to Nam Po district, Dien Bien Dong district and Dien Bien district; and 06 Third prizes were awarded by the Organizing Committee to the districts (Muong Nhe; Dien Bien Phu city; Muong Cha; Tuan Giao; Muong Ang; Muong Lay town).
