Tra No is the central residential area of Phuoc Tra commune, Hiep Duc. In 2019, Tra No village was newly established on the basis of merging village 3 and village 4. Currently, Tra No has 154 households, 715 people, of which more than 95% are Ca Dong and Mo Nong ethnic households.
At the National Great Unity Day, cadres and people of Tra No village together reviewed the history and tradition of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), and at the same time looked back at the results and limitations in building the great unity bloc, developing the socio-economy, implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements of the residential area in 2024.
Ms. Ho Thi Lai - Head of Tra No village said that the economy of Tra No people mainly depends on forestry. In addition to growing acacia, the whole village has 75 households taking care of and exploiting large rubber plantations, and strongly developing livestock and poultry farming. The average income per capita of the village reaches 38 million VND/year. Notably, there are no children in the village dropping out of school, the rate of children attending class is 100%, currently there are 5 children studying at university...
In addition to the achievements, the people of Tra No village also did not forget to mention the limitations to overcome and make efforts together. Veteran Ho Van Lieng did not hesitate to point out the shortcomings of the village, when there was still encroachment on forest land; more than 50 households did not have fields for production. Mr. Lieng also said that the people must strive to rise up, and cannot just rely on the support of the State.
Mr. Ho Van Chieng - Secretary of the Party Committee of Phuoc Tra commune said that Tra No has built a model new rural residential area but so far has only achieved 2/10 criteria, a modest number. Regarding a number of violations of the law on forest protection in the area, Mr. Chieng advised: "In the national target programs, there is a project on forest protection and management, the State has a support policy, so people must protect the forest, not listen to bad people to avoid violating the law".
Attending the Great Solidarity Festival with the people of Tra No village, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung, on behalf of the provincial leaders, commended the results that Tra No village has achieved in the past time.
At the same time, we hope that the village will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and pioneer in building self-management models in residential areas. In particular, each household must have the spirit of rising out of poverty, implementing economic development along with effective forest protection...
“Despite the difficulties, I hope that people will continue to promote solidarity - solidarity within the Party, village cadres, and the people. That is the first nucleus, a solid foundation for the locality to develop further.
The State always accompanies the people, most clearly in the implementation of 3 national target programs, with profound and effective results reaching every household. Building a cultural family must be substantial, must strive to escape poverty, love each other, have no social evils, take care of children's education, and not let children drop out of school" - Mr. Tran Nam Hung said.
In 2024, Tra No village has 8 households supported to build solidarity houses with a budget of 520 million VND; 3 households supported to remove temporary and dilapidated houses with a budget of 180 million VND. At the Great Solidarity Festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung and leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded 60 million VND to support the construction of 1 Great Solidarity house; awarded 10 gifts (1 million VND/gift) to poor households in especially difficult circumstances.
