Promoting cultural resources and people of the capital

On February 21, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong chaired a meeting to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring, and celebrate the great national unity bloc. Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong outlined the highlights of socio-economic development and activities of the city's Fatherland Front in 2024. The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city said that Hanoi has implemented synchronous solutions for socio-economic development, achieving many important results. Budget revenue in the city for the first time reached more than 500,000 billion VND (the highest ever); the investment environment continues to improve. Hanoi is a pioneer in digital transformation, developing cultural industries, strongly promoting tourism, etc.

The city strives to complete many important strategic tasks, which are the legal basis and major orientations for the development of the capital in the coming period, such as: Implementing the Law on the Capital (amended); Planning of the capital Hanoi for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; adjusting the master plan of the capital Hanoi to 2045, with a vision to 2065 approved by the Prime Minister...

Ms. Huong emphasized that contributing to the city's overall success in the past year, the city's Fatherland Front at all levels continued to affirm its position and role in gathering the great national unity bloc; selecting and implementing key and focal tasks, organizing many new activities; effectively implementing patriotic emulation campaigns and movements; strengthening supervision, social criticism, giving opinions on Party building, government building, etc. In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels in the city successfully organized the Congress for the 2024 - 2029 term with many new and creative points; mobilizing resources to ensure social security, supporting people affected by storms and floods, especially people affected by storm No. 3, joining hands to support the poor and people in difficult circumstances, strengthening people's trust.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city affirmed that, with responsibility and love for Hanoi, the team of artists, intellectuals, religious dignitaries and overseas Vietnamese of the capital have had many initiatives and creativity in propaganda work, mobilizing people, consolidating the great national unity bloc; promoting the tradition of Thang Long - Hanoi, arousing patriotism, national pride, joining hands to build the City for Peace, maintaining social order and safety; having many contributions in the work of supervision, social criticism, giving opinions on Party building, government building, social security work, actively participating in advisory councils of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels.

In particular, overseas Vietnamese in the capital have deeply integrated into the local society and continued to have many activities towards their homeland, including volunteer activities, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, making an important contribution to the construction of the country and the capital.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong respectfully thanked the great contributions of artists, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, and overseas Vietnamese delegates to the activities of the Front, especially their contributions to the work of building the great national unity bloc of the Capital in 2024.

Emphasizing that the tasks in 2025 will be more difficult and require higher requirements, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city hopes that artists, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, and overseas Vietnamese in the capital will continue to promote their roles and responsibilities, using their prestige and influence to join hands and contribute to caring for, building, and consolidating the great national unity bloc; actively carry out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Front, participate in monitoring, social criticism, and contribute ideas to Party building and government building; propagate and mobilize people to respond to the policies and guidelines of the Party, State, and locality; arouse and spread the love for Hanoi, the spirit of building a "Creative City, City for Peace", preserve and promote the thousand-year cultural values ​​so that the cultural resources and people of the Capital truly become important new resources, contributing increasingly effectively to the socio-economic development, prosperity, happiness and sustainability of the Capital of culture - civilization - modernity - happy people...
