On the morning of March 17, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong City coordinated with the Department of Physical Training and Sports and the Vietnam Shooting Federation to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Air Gun Championship.

The tournament brings together 300 coaches and athletes from 11 delegations across the country, including the Army, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, People's Police, Dong Nai, Dak Lak, Quang Nam and host Hai Phong.

Athletes will compete in 52 sets of medals in the following events: 10m air rifle, 10m air pistol, 10m portable air rifle and 10m mixed portable air rifle.
The tournament is not only a playground for athletes but also an opportunity to discover and select talents for the national team to participate in international tournaments. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Hai Phong city to promote the image of a developed city with rich sports potential.

To ensure the success of the tournament, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City Tran Thi Hoang Mai requested relevant units to coordinate closely, prepare carefully, ensure safety and create the most favorable conditions for participating delegations. The referees need to conduct the tournament fairly and accurately, while the athletes must compete with all their might and strictly comply with the tournament regulations.

The tournament takes place at Hai Phong Sports Training and Competition Center from March 15-27.
