TKV competes in production at the beginning of the year

Entering 2025, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) aims to consume 50 million tons of coal and produce 36.85 million tons of coal. Right from the first days and months of the new year, TKV units have promoted emulation in labor production, creating momentum to achieve the set production and business targets.

By the end of 2024, TKV's raw coal production will reach 37.5 million tons; coal consumption will be 46.7 million tons; the Group's total profit will reach 6.23 trillion VND, up 42.2% compared to the annual plan and up over 12% compared to 2023. Notably, the average salary of TKV employees is the highest since the Group was established at 18 million VND/person/month. In the difficult context due to the impact of the storm, TKV still successfully completed its production and business targets, creating momentum for units to set high goals in 2025.

Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company plays the role of managing and operating coal consumption for TKV at Cam Pha port. In 2025, the Company strives to manage the consumption of more than 65.6 million tons of coal. At this time, the Company's main production workshops are closely following the production and consumption management plan for 2025 to meet the demand for increased coal consumption output for customers as required.

Coal Delivery Workshop 1,   Cam Ranh Port and Logistics Company   is assigned the task of organizing the receipt of purchased coal from mines to the Company's warehouse. In 2025, the Company assigned Coal Delivery Workshop 1 to receive and deliver coal from production and processing units in TKV to customers with an expected output of 15 million tons (an increase of 3% compared to 2024); coal purchased from coal selection sources at the main port and imported coal of over 20 million tons. In addition, the unit also manages and supervises the quantity and quality of coal consumed from the water's edge to ships and vehicles at the Ports in the Cam Pha area; supervises the quantity and quality of coal delivered and received at the transshipment area. Receives coal via electronic scales, delivers it to vehicles receiving coal via scales and delivers coal to Cam Pha Thermal Power Joint Stock Company.

Mr. Pham Van Kha, Manager of Coal Delivery Workshop 1, said: In the first quarter, the number of working days was low due to the Tet holiday, but in order to complete the new goal, from the first months of 2025, the unit has closely followed the plan and direction of the Company, promoting labor competition in production. Currently, the Workshop continues to closely coordinate with units, ensuring enough equipment and human resources to serve coal delivery and receipt, meeting customers' needs, especially coal supplied to thermal power plants. In particular, the Workshop is focusing on promoting security and safety, and managing the quantity and quality of coal according to requirements.

The Mining Construction Company is launching many emulation movements to speed up tunnel digging progress to serve production.

With the common goal of 2025 "Safety - Solidarity - Development - Efficiency", together with Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company, at this time, TKV units are closely following the assigned plan, promoting the spirit of solidarity, striving for safe production and labor, and fully completing the January and first quarter 2025 plan targets. According to the January 2025 plan, the Group will produce 2.9 million tons of raw coal; excavate 10.35 million m³ of soil; dig 19,400m of tunnels; consume 4.3 million tons, of which 3.7 million tons of coal for electricity production...

Mr. Nguyen Huy Nam, Deputy General Director of the Group, said: January 2025, there will be fewer working days due to the Lunar New Year holiday, while coal consumption demand is forecasted to increase. Therefore, units need to focus on production, completing plans from the first days and months; flexibly manage production, import, and blending to meet enough coal for the market, especially coal for electricity production. In particular, units should pay attention to implementing well the work of occupational safety and hygiene, environment, especially before, during and after the Lunar New Year of At Ty; strengthen inspection and supervision, detect, prevent, and eliminate risks of accidents and incidents, ensuring safety in production. At the same time, coordinate to organize activities to celebrate the Party - celebrate Spring, take care of Tet for workers; do a good job of ensuring security and order, fire prevention, protecting assets, resources, and mine boundaries; Prepare well the conditions to start production right after Tet holiday.

Units effectively launched and organized emulation movements in production and labor to welcome party congresses at all levels and celebrate major holidays of the year in order to comprehensively complete production and business targets and tasks in 2025, contributing significantly to the completion of the 5-year plan targets for 2021-2025; focusing on implementing the approved investment plan for 2025, focusing on investing in equipment to increase production capacity at coal and mineral mines; continuing to implement the "3-ization" strategy in production lines and actively transforming digitally in all "core" areas for member units in particular and TKV in general to develop sustainably.
