Targets achieved as planned
According to statistics, raw coal output reached 3.28 million tons, exceeding the plan by 6%. Coal consumption reached 3.92 million tons, of which coal supplied for electricity production was estimated at 3.35 million tons. Rock and soil removal and tunnel digging activities also achieved positive results, ensuring mining progress in the coming time.
Regarding minerals, the converted alumina output reached 121 thousand tons, consumption 126.3 thousand tons, all exceeding the plan. Copper concentrate, copper plate, zinc ingot and iron concentrate all met and exceeded the set targets.
TKV also produced 869 million kWh of electricity, exceeding the plan by 4%, contributing to stabilizing domestic energy supply. Total revenue in February 2025 is estimated at 13.65 trillion VND, creating an important premise for production and business targets in the first quarter and the whole year of 2025.
Ensuring coal supply for electricity during peak season
Entering March 2025, TKV expects coal consumption demand to increase sharply when coal-fired power output is mobilized at a high level during the dry season. To meet this demand, the Group plans to produce 3.52 million tons of raw coal and consume 4.96 million tons of coal, of which coal for electricity accounts for 4.21 million tons.
Mineral products such as alumina, copper ore, copper plates, and zinc ingots all have production and consumption plans that have increased compared to the previous month. Electricity production is expected to reach 1,020 million kWh, contributing to supplementing the national power supply.

The Group continues to implement strict coal management measures to ensure coal supply for electricity production in 2025 according to Directive No. 01/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister and the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Group aims to end the first quarter of 2025 with raw coal output reaching 9.75 million tons and coal consumption reaching 12.8 million tons. In addition, alumina production will reach 385 thousand tons, copper concentrate will reach 28.2 thousand tons, and copper plate will reach 8.44 thousand tons. Total electricity production is expected to reach 2.72 billion kWh.
To achieve these goals, the Group focuses on strengthening production supervision, ensuring progress and quality of coal and mineral exploitation; proactively blending and processing coal, and improving resource utilization efficiency.
The Group strictly implements labor safety measures, natural disaster prevention, resource protection; maintains stable operations at mineral and metallurgical plants, ensures production capacity and protects the environment.
TKV commits to providing enough coal for electricity production, contributing to ensuring national energy security in 2025 and the following years.
