In July 2024, the project to install the auxiliary well tower, auxiliary well loading shaft system, control signal equipment and communication information for the +35/-500 vertical well of the Khe Cham II-IV Underground Mining Project (Ha Long Coal Company) officially started. The project has a total investment of more than 500 billion VND. This is a key project recognized by the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group as a project to welcome the 4th Congress of the Group's Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
This project has a scale of installing a 4-storey cage-based transportation system, with a capacity of 160 people/trip. The transport load reaches 21,000kg/trip. This is a groundbreaking project in applying mechanization, improving the travel conditions for workers working in the mine.
After more than 7 months of construction, the construction progress of this project has reached more than 90%. In particular, the contractor has basically completed a number of important items such as: Hoist house, installation of the power system, installation of the hoist machine, installation of the well tower. Currently, the contractor is continuing to focus on installing the main hoist system including a 4-storey cage, laying steel cables, installing tail cables down to -500 level; removing the operating floor, connecting and completing the guide bars in the well and on the well tower; installing the signal, control and communication systems at -350 and +35 levels; completing the well mouth cover; installing the lighting system for the hoist house, tower house, etc.
It is expected that by early March 2025, the project will put the auxiliary shaft loading system into operation for inspection; in mid-March 2025, the project will be licensed to put into operation. After the auxiliary shaft loading is put into stable operation, it will help shorten the travel time from the +35 level to the -350 platform from 40 to 60 minutes compared to traveling by the cable car winch system, song loan..., increase the useful working time in the furnace mirrors, thereby contributing to increasing labor productivity by 15-20%. Thereby, contributing to helping Ha Long Coal stabilize production and business in the following years.
Hon Gai Coal Selection Company is the main coal consumer in Ha Long area. Currently, the unit's coal loading and consumption activities take place mainly in Lang Khanh port area. To link production with environmental protection, recently, Hon Gai Coal Selection Company has invested in many key environmental projects. Typically, at the end of November 2024, the Dust Treatment System Investment Project at Wharf Cluster No. 3, Lang Khanh Port has been started. The project has a total investment of nearly 80 billion VND. This is one of 11 projects approved by the Party Committee. Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group selected and recognized the project and work to welcome the 4th Party Congress of the Group, term 2025-2030.
The scale of the project will be installed with a dust-blocking net system with a total length of 1,352m and a height of 14m, built around the coal warehouse at wharf cluster No. 3. The project items are installed synchronously with the coal warehouse system. After more than 3 months of construction, the project has basically been completed. It is expected that by the end of March 2025, the Dust Treatment System Investment Project at wharf cluster No. 3 of Lang Khanh port will be officially put into operation.
According to the leader of Hon Gai Coal Selection Company, Lang Khanh port area has been approved by TKV as one of the 5 areas that need a comprehensive environmental protection plan. The Dust Treatment System Investment Project at Wharf Cluster No. 3 of Lang Khanh Port is a key project that is being urgently completed by the unit on schedule. Once put into operation, it will reduce dust, contribute to protecting the air environment; improve working conditions for workers. At the same time, it will help Hon Gai Coal Selection Company realize the goal of "greening" Lang Khanh port area.
Towards welcome At the 4th Party Congress of the Group, term 2025-2030, all units of TKV registered to undertake 1-2 grassroots emulation projects. From these projects, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group selected 11 key projects with welcome signs with a total investment of more than 11,000 billion VND. In addition to the above 2 projects, there are many other typical projects, such as: Ammonia production plant construction project (Mining Chemical Industry Corporation); Tan Yen underground mining project - Dong Trang Bach mine (Uong Bi Coal Company); Ha Rang mine expansion underground mining project (Hon Gai Coal Company)...
Currently, TKV is realizing the development goal of "3-ization" (mechanization, automation and information technology). Investing in the above key projects in this period has strategic significance for the development of TKV in the coming period. When put into operation, not only help TKV units improve techniques, innovate, modernize coal mining activities and increase production capacity.
