(GLO)- Facilities are one of the factors affecting the quality of education. With the joint efforts of the Youth Union and philanthropists, many meaningful projects have been built, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools in disadvantaged areas.

Recently, teachers and students of Ayun Primary School No. 2 (Ayun Commune, Mang Yang District) were delighted to receive a smart library project donated by the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union Council. The library includes items such as televisions, bookshelves, tables and chairs, trees, foam mats and many books with diverse and attractive content for children.

The library is arranged scientifically and neatly, with a corner for reading and drawing. The walls of the library are decorated with drawings of characters from the story “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. The project is worth 20 million VND, donated by the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union Council calling for social resources.

The library was renovated and renovated on the basis of the school's old library. The library space is close and beautiful, helping students comfortably read books and relax. Tran Nguyen Nguyet Anh (class 3A) said: "The reading space is clean, beautiful and convenient, so we really like it."

Ms. Tang Thi Ai - Principal of Ayun Primary School No. 2 - shared: "The spacious and beautiful library space creates a comfortable atmosphere for students. Teachers have guided students to use the library properly, choose and read books effectively. Building a habit of reading every day helps students gain more useful knowledge, preparing well for the future."

May 17 is a meaningful day for teachers and students of Gok village school, 7/5 Kindergarten (Ia Grang commune, Ia Grai district) when the well and toilet construction were completed and put into use. For a long time, the school had toilets but they were temporary. The water source for daily life was obtained by the teacher from households in the village. During the hot season, people did not have enough water for daily life, so the teacher's luggage to school, in addition to the lesson plan, also included a 20-liter water can.

Witnessing the difficulties of teachers and students here, the District Youth Union and the Ia Grai District Young Pioneers' Council coordinated with the Ia Grai District Green Dream Club to build a 16 m2 toilet and a 70 m deep well for the school. The project has a total investment of nearly 70 million VND, of which the District Youth Union and the District Young Pioneers' Council donated 25 million VND; Nguyen Tan Luc Enterprise donated 15 million VND; Youth Union members and youth in the district contributed 10 million VND; the remaining funding was matched by the school and Gok villagers.

Unable to hide her joy, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, a teacher at Gok village school, said: “The projects have met the long-standing expectations of teachers, students and parents. The project helps the school to proactively provide water, contributing to creating conditions for students to maintain hygiene, health and safety and study with peace of mind. We are very happy because the education cause always has the support of agencies, businesses and philanthropists.”

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Quang - Deputy Secretary of Ia Grai District Youth Union - said: "Sharing the difficulties with teachers and students, we have called on agencies, units and businesses to support funding and working days to build items for the school. This is the responsibility and sentiment of the units in caring for future generations. Hopefully, the teachers and students at the school will continue to try and achieve many achievements in the coming time".

The projects not only have material value but also great spiritual value for teachers and students; parents are also excited when their children have better learning conditions.

Mr. Do Duy Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council - said: The projects were built from sympathy and sharing with the difficulties and shortages of teachers in disadvantaged areas. This is also the sentiment and responsibility of the Youth Union and its sponsors for the cause of education and the future owners of the country. In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee will continue to call for social resources and direct Youth Union organizations at all levels to carry out meaningful projects for schools.
