(BLC) – On August 10, Lai Chau Petroleum Company; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism donated money to support people in Than Uyen district to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. Comrades: Ngo Quang Vinh - Chairman and Director of the Company; Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders, some departments and offices under the two units attended the reception.
On the side of Than Uyen district, there were comrades: Le Thi Kim Ngan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Nguyen Van Thang - Chairman of the District People's Committee, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and a number of departments, branches, and unions of the district... attending.
Mr. Ngo Quang Vinh - Chairman and Director of Lai Chau Petroleum Company and the company's delegation donated 300 million VND to Than Uyen district to help overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
The floods that occurred in early August caused heavy losses in human lives and property in Than Uyen district. According to preliminary statistics as of the morning of August 10, the total damage in the district was up to 170 billion VND; 4 people died, 4 people were injured and 2 people were missing. Many roads, bridges, houses and crops of the people were affected and suffered heavy losses.
In order to help people affected by floods in the whole province in general and Than Uyen district in particular to have funds to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, Lai Chau Petroleum Company has allocated 300 million VND from charity funds to help people reduce difficulties.
Mr. Ngo Quang Vinh - Chairman and Director of Lai Chau Petroleum Company affirmed: In the process of business and development, the company not only ensures energy security, meets the requirements of local socio-economic development regularly and continuously, but also always accompanies the province in responding to sudden and unexpected situations such as natural disasters, floods, impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic... The company hopes that the gift sent to Than Uyen district will help people reduce some of their difficulties, have the motivation to overcome, and soon stabilize their lives.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also donated 10 million VND to Than Uyen district.
Up to now, Than Uyen district has received over 350 million VND and many sources of goods from organizations and individuals to help people affected by natural disasters.
