The "Spring Colors Across the Country" Festival is a meaningful cultural event held every early spring with many activities such as: Party and State leaders wishing the people of all ethnic groups a happy new year; reenacting traditional rituals and festivals, performing unique heritages of all ethnic groups at the "Common House", the Spring Festival program...
This year's festival has the participation of more than 200 people from 28 ethnic communities from 14 provinces: Hanoi , Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan, Soc Trang.
During the meeting with the ethnic people, President Luong Cuong affirmed that the Festival is a meaningful cultural and political event, an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to review, preserve and deepen the values of national culture, thereby strengthening solidarity, enhancing understanding and accompanying each other in the cause of national construction and development. The President also, on behalf of the Party and State, sent best wishes and presented gifts to the ethnic people on the occasion of the New Year.
In response to that sentiment, the ethnic minority delegates of Lai Chau province presented to the Party and State leaders gifts of daily life and work items made by the people themselves, such as: baskets for storing things, vegetable baskets, traditional costumes of Si La ethnic women and scarves of Ha Nhi ethnic men.
The festival also has many other meaningful activities such as: Re-enacting the New Year tower opening ceremony of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province; re-enacting the new rice celebration ceremony of the Raglai people in Ninh Thuan province; re-enacting the Khai Ha festival and introducing the Bamboo Calendar performance - National intangible cultural heritage of the Muong people in Hoa Binh province; introducing excerpts of the Singing and dancing ritual to celebrate under the cotton tree (Kin gong bok mai) of the Thai people in Thanh Hoa province; Spring Festival program...
With diverse activities, truly reflecting the cultural life of ethnic groups across the country, the Festival has successfully contributed to strengthening the great solidarity of ethnic groups, consolidating people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State as well as people's pride in the traditional culture of the nation.
