On June 1, a working delegation from the Ministry of National Defense led by Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defense, visited and worked on technical work with Military Region 4.
At the working session, the Military Region 4 Command reported to the Deputy Minister of National Defense and the working delegation on the results of the implementation of military and defense tasks, focusing on technical work in the first 6 months of 2023. Accordingly, the Standing Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command focused on leading and directing the effective implementation of military and defense tasks; strictly maintaining combat readiness (SSCD), search and rescue; coordinating with the Party Committees and authorities of 6 provinces to grasp the local situation, deploy synchronously, comprehensively and in-depth in all aspects of work, and successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Technical work and task targets were completed on schedule, ensuring all task requirements of the Military Region's armed forces, especially ensuring combat readiness and training, and natural disaster prevention. Well organized and implemented programs and repair targets, synchronized technical equipment, deployed construction and consolidation of warehouses and workshops according to plan and on schedule. The quality of regular construction in the technical sector has many clear changes, technical facilities at all levels ensure absolute safety.
At the working session, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh and members of the working delegation also listened to comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Military Region 4 Command, and the Military Region's agencies report on difficulties, obstacles, recommendations, and proposals on a number of contents regarding the implementation of technical work of Military Region 4 such as the current status of the technical warehouse system; technical equipment for training and combat missions; means to ensure the tasks of preventing and fighting natural disasters, forest fires, search and rescue; the current status of the team of technical and professional staff, etc.

Through on-site inspections at a number of units such as the 414th Engineering Brigade, Workshop X467 and reporting on the results of the implementation of the tasks of Military Region 4, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh highly appreciated the results that the units have achieved, notably the units have strictly implemented regulations on receiving, withdrawing, issuing, and transferring technical equipment to ensure absolute safety; successfully completing the task of ensuring technical equipment for training, competitions, sports, disaster prevention, search and rescue.

In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh requested the agencies and units of Military Region 4 to effectively implement the Resolutions and plans of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on improving the quality of technical work, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation with specific, practical measures, close to the actual situation of the units and areas. The Deputy Minister of National Defense noted that Military Region 4 needs to focus on ensuring adequate and timely technical equipment for units performing training, drills, rescue, flood and storm prevention tasks, while maintaining synchronization of weapons and equipment in combat-ready units, gradually synchronizing reserve weapons and equipment in the Military Region's warehouses.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh also emphasized that Military Region 4 has a strategic position in terms of national defense and security, and is also an area where natural disasters, storms, and floods frequently occur, so it is necessary to implement solutions to strengthen management and ensure the safety of weapons, ammunition, and combat readiness to prevent serious incidents of unsafety and explosion. Along with that, Military Region 4 needs to focus on improving the quality of technical training, promoting scientific and technological research, actively implementing digital transformation contents of the technical sector, improving the capacity to exploit and master new technical equipment, striving to bring technical work into depth, firmly, effectively, and practically.
